What brightens up your Saturday?

1m · Skill Up · 14 Aug 18:03

Hi there!

Glad that you are back on this episode. Today is Saturday and I am ecstatic because its my day off!

Now, I am thinking of numerous things to do and places to visit.

But you know what?

What brightens up my day is a cup of coffee and a good book to read.

With this, I highly recommend you to start reading a book, at least one chapter per day.  I love reading fanfictions and the books of Sidney Sheldon. I remember the first book was The other side of midnight. On a serious note, if you want to take it seriously, you'd better read Dale Carnegie. You'll find how to win friends and influence people helpful in creating connections and negotiating.

You'll find numerous vocabulary words and more you will notice that your comprehension improves day by day.

How about you? What brightens up your Saturday?

Pet Peeves

Hey!

I hope you are feeling ecstatic today.

All of us experienced being annoyed at a pet peeve that someone displays.

What is a pet peeve? It is a particular habit that makes a person irritated.

For example, Slow drivers, snoring, cracking knuckles, not taking responsibility, correcting grammar or pronunciation, and blasting music are some of the examples.

My biggest pet peeve is when I am in a queue in withdrawing from an ATM machine.

I don't like it when the person in front of me takes 48 years before he/she would be able to withdraw the money.

I mean, why does it take them a while when they just need to push some buttons, and voila, they'll have their money?

I really don't understand.

I hope I was not annoying you with my rants, could it be one of your pet peeves too? Can you share it with me?

Gastronomy

Hi again, today we are going to talk about Gastronomy.

I love food! Who doesn't right?

I have a sweet tooth and I prefer to eat deserts.

Though I have a problem because I don't know how to cook.

It'll be a challenge for me to survive because the food prices are getting high and my time for food preparation is getting low.

Well, I guess, you really cannot have your cake and eat it too.

I don't know what I'll do if I want to eat Chicken Adobo or Relyenong Bangus. These two are my favorite viands.

White meats are tasty, creamy, and soft and that is the thing that I like about them.

If only I know how to cook.

Anyway, mind if you tell me the steps in cooking your favorite food? I wanna know. ;)

Hit the Road

I love to travel.

Beaches, mountains, parks, malls, cities, towns, museums, and other places excite me.

This Saturday, me and my friends are going to hit the road to visit our long-lost friend who just gave birth.

She didn't know that we are about to give her a surprise party for the baby.

We are hoping that we wouldn't bump into each other anytime soon.

Wish us luck.

Ops how about you, what are your road stories to tell? I am listening.

My Bucketlist

It's summertime!

With everything that has been going on with your vacation, have you ever thought about something that you need to do or a place that you need to visit?

I did too!

I have created my own bucket list before the summer ends.

Firstly, I would like to learn how to play the piano, it has been my childhood dream of mine to play in front of a lot of people.

Secondly, If my schedule permits, I would like to focus more on shaping up. It has been quite a while since the last time that I've exercised or even went on jogging.

Thirdly, I would like to try a dish that I haven't tried before.

Being the risktaker that I was, I hope to fulfill this bucket list this month.

How about you? Can you share your Top 3 Bucket list this summer vacation?

Let us seize the day!
