#005 - The Millenial Middle Child Making Moves

36m · In The Ring With Rachel · 16 Nov 08:00

In today’s episode, I’m super excited to be chatting with Francesca, one of my very own ninjas. Francesca (also goes by Chesca) is actually my executive assistant, and she’s my favorite #tinybossgirl! She fills up her time as a virtual assistant, Mom, and variety video game streamer. As a millennial middle child, she’s just trying to navigate adulthood while working on her own mental health, and making time for the things she truly enjoys.

Francesca is an open book and is not afraid to talk about herself, and her struggles with mental health. She became a mom at the age of 16, and was later diagnosed with anxiety and depression during a difficult time in college. She knows firsthand that mental health is a very sensitive subject, and while it can be intimidating to talk about, it’s also vital to be able to do so. She wants others to know that while we’re all going to experience our fair share of hardships, there is light at the end of the tunnel too.

Our mental health and wellbeing is not something we want to put on the backburner-now, more than ever. I can’t wait for you to hear my conversation with Francesca as we unpack the importance of mental health!

#006 - The Triple Balancing Act

In today’s episode, I’m so excited to be chatting with Dana Johnson, one of my amazing ninjas who has been on my team for 2 years! Dana is a true southern belle, lover of tabletop games, and sunny afternoons spent in the mountains. Her biggest fear is speaking in front of crowds (she would rather be showing her support from the sidelines), and is a natural problem solver. She likes to stay 2 steps ahead of potential happiness stealers, and one of her favorite travel adventures was hiking through Ireland (she plans to return-someday!)

Dana clearly represents the “triple balancing act”; she’s a single Mama of 3, has her own business, and still works a 9-5 job too. She’s wanted to be an entrepreneur since she was a young girl (specifically in hospitality). After starting her own event planning business and going through some big life changes, she landed in the virtual assistant (VA) world. She doesn’t believe you “have” to be married to one particular niche in order to be successful with your business, but surrounding yourself with people who are positive and have a growth mindset is vital.

Dana has learned to trust the process, and be proud of her own progress along the way-not just in business, but in all aspects of her life. I can’t wait for you to learn from her as we dive into her business, her story, and more!

#004 - Creating and Living a Life of Fulfillment

In today’s episode, I’m chatting with my amazing friend Corey Fradin, the founder of QuickBooost, a blog that helps you achieve your goals. Through his work, he shows you how to create a life of meaning and fulfillment-one of true goal success. His blog receives thousands of visitors each month, and he's been featured on sites like Entrepreneur.com, MSN, Addicted2Success, Thrive Global, Elephant Journal, and many more.

Corey first got started on his entrepreneurship journey in college (even though it wasn’t something he planned to do). He created an app to help college students better connect with their campus and community. After multiple other entrepreneurial ventures, unintentionally (which Corey now finds humorous since he writes about being intentional), QuickBooost was born. His original goal was to share quick-to-read articles, meant to boost your life! He still loves sharing with others the tools of goal setting, productivity, and time management.

Corey loves all things tech, but what he’s truly passionate about is creating and starting from scratch with his business and products. He’s always looking for ways to add more fulfillment to his life, and how he can best maintain that in all aspects of his life. Recently, he’s even started exploring his adventurous side, and is excited to be pursuing something new.

Living a life aligned with our goals and dreams is so important; I can’t wait for you to hear my conversation with Corey so you can learn how to work toward your best and fulfilling life!

#003 - Breaking Down the Stigma Surrounding Mental Health

In today’s episode, I’m chatting with Jade Harris, an amazing branding and web designer, and we dive into the deep topic of mental health.  After struggling with mental health as a teenager, Jade was diagnosed with anxiety, depression, and PTSD several years later. She’s learned the importance of prioritizing mental health, and how it impacts every part of your life. She also knows it’s made her come out stronger on the other side, and she’s now able to conquer anything.

Jade believes getting help when you’re struggling with your mental health is vital, and therapy should not be considered “taboo”. You don’t have to feel lonely because help is out there, and your people are out there-you just have to find them! Jade hopes to continue helping and serving those in marginalized communities with their mental health, and aspires to show others that they can achieve their goals and dreams, while healing their minds and souls.

Mental health is extremely important for all of us, now more than ever. I’m excited for you to hear my conversation with Jade, and I hope you feel more empowered about your mental health after listening!
