Episode 05 - Where is the Best, Safest Place to Invest Your Hard-Earned Money (Answer: Pag-IBIG MP2 Savings Fund)?

27m · Tina in Manila Talks · 12 Apr 03:00

Especially now when life seems so unpredictable, so many insurance agents are coming out from the woods and informing everyone that putting your money in life insurance is the best way for you to protect your future and loved ones. They boast that the money you get at the event you get is tax-free, and it’s really one of the best ways for you to invest and safeguard your money for the future.

While I don’t want to burst their bubbles as there are truly some advantages to investing in an insurance policy, I do want to remind everyone that there is another investment vehicle that is actually better than a time deposit or a life insurance policy — the Pag-IBIG MP2 Savings Fund.

Today, in this podcast, TINA IN MANILA TALKS will discuss what the Pag-IBIG MP2 Savings Fund is, why it’s such a great investment vehicle to get into, how to apply for one, and why I’m putting my money into my Pag-IBIG MP2 Savings Fund instead of any life insurance policy or educational policy that’s on offer.

Episode 06: Feelings After Finding Out Baby #2 Will Be Out via Caesarean

How do I feel after finding out that Baby #2 will be out via Caesarean operation? While I may sound very confident and bossy, delivering a baby is still a scary event. My first was delivered naturally 5 years ago and it was a painless breeze thanks to the mighty epidural. However, the second one is in breech position so we are forced to have him via caesarean section so it's a brand new adventure for me.

We are very excited though with the coming of our miracle baby. After Aeva and three separate miscarriages, one of which was somewhat life-threatening, we realize that this baby is such a blessing to have. Up until today, we still cannot believe that we are having our second (and maybe our last), and we just thank the Lord for granting us one last baby before we retire.

The timing is weird --- it will be in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The economy isn't doing well. Everyone is afraid. But babies are supposed to provide some hope. That in the midst of chaos, God is in control. And despite the rainy days, there's always sunshine and rainbows in the horizon. Hence for Episode 06: Tina in Manila will Talk About the Real Feelings of an Impending Childbirth.

Episode 04 - What Type of Management Does Not Want Their Employees To Get Along?

Someone in my Facebook group posed today this question, "What type of management does not want their employees to get along? One of my former bosses encouraged rifts between employees. I do not understand why. I thought it was normal for employees to get along. But now, my new boss thinks the same way --- to prevent any type of collusion or connivance. While she is not like my former boss who tries to sabotage relationships between his staff, she does say that employees not getting along is more beneficial for employers. What do you think of all this? I feel she has a good point, but unsure if this is for the better good?"

In this episode, Tina in Manila Talks from www.TinainManila.com will tackle about the importance of interpersonal relationships in the workplace.

She shares about how this is a very cultural issue, and for Filipinos, good interpersonal relationships are very important, sometimes even more than family or siblings relationships. There is a reminder that performance has little to do with relationships, and while good relationships may be better, sometimes, it's also equally hurtful in workplace dynamics if the relationships turn sour.

We will talk about the Just Causes of Termination, the correct procedure in terminating a staff legally following just causes, and why separation pay should not be paid if the staff is truly guilty of an offense, and it's his or her fault on why he/she is being terminated.
