Seminario web especial con motivo del 10º aniversario de Access Agriculture

Como parte de la celebración de su 10º aniversario este año, Access Agriculture (www.accessagriculture.org) organizado un webinar sobre "Cómo escalar la agroecología" el 25 de octubre del 2022, en colaboración con la Coalición de Agroecología (www.agroecology-coalition.org).
Desde que comenzó en el 2012, el enfoque de aprendizaje dirigido por video de Access Agriculture ha llegado a unas 90 millones de personas, principalmente pequeños agricultores, en más de 100 países, permitiéndoles aprender sobre los principios agroecológicos, lo que lleva a mejorar los medios de vida rurales y los sistemas alimentarios sostenibles. La organización está ocupando un nicho único y valioso en el apoyo al aprendizaje horizontal de agricultor a agricultor y la ampliación de la agroecología en todo el Sur Global.
La visión de la Coalición de Agroecología contempla un sistema alimentario inclusivo basado en los principios de la agroecología. La Coalición es uno de los principales resultados de la Cumbre de Sistemas Alimentarios de las Naciones Unidas, celebrada en septiembre del 2021, y cuenta ya con más de 113 miembros (39 países y 74 organizaciones), comprometidos con hacer de las transiciones agroecológicas una realidad generalizada.
Los objetivos del seminario web fueron celebrar los logros de Access Agriculture en los últimos 10 años y ayudar a dar forma a su estrategia futura como proveedor de servicios globales y agente de escala para ayudar a incorporar la agroecología y la transición hacia sistemas alimentarios más resilientes.
El seminario web presentó con un ecléctico elenco de distinguidos oradores y panelistas, entre los que se encuentran representantes de la Agroecology Coalition, la Plataforma de Conocimiento de la Agricultura Familiar de la FAO, ANTHRA, el Programa de Investigación Colaborativa de Cultivos de la Fundación McKnight, PROLINNOVA, el mundo académico, las radios comunitarias y las televisiones, además de Access Agriculture.
