Kick Starting your Small Business Through Crowdfunding

This week on What Keeps You Up At Night, host Brendan Major is joined by Rob Gramer to talk about a topic that has recently been creating a lot of buzz - crowdfunding. Rob is in the business of helping people launch their ideas into businesses, and specifically how the website kickstarter.com has been an intricate part in that process. If you were ever curious about the concept of crowdfunding, or just want to learn more about turning your dream into a real business, then be sure to tune in!

About our Guest

Rob Gramer has always focused his life on learning how to make things. As a kid he rebuilt lawn mower engines instead of playing with friends. In high school, he competed in automotive design competitions. And after he received his degree in mechanical engineering, he dove into the top secret world of designing jet engines for military drones (used extensively in the Afghanistan wars).

Recently, Rob has discovered that it doesn't matter how good your idea or product is if you can't sell it, prompting him to move from engineering into sales and marketing. He's becoming an expert at getting startups off the ground, all while working with investors and inventors all over the world.
