MotoAmerica Off Track with Carruthers and Bice

Niccoló Canepa is a two-time World Endurance Champion, a test rider for Yamaha, and a riding coach for Yamaha's World Superbike team. This week, Canepa has his race face on as he prepares to battle, along with his two World Endurance YART Yamaha teammates, in Daytona 200 for the first time. We caught up with Canepa this week at Daytona International Speedway for the newest Off Track With Carruthers And Bice podcast to talk about his three different careers in racing and more.

JD Beach is back as a full-time MotoAmerica Superbike racer for the 2024 season and he couldn't be happier. Armed with a Tytlers Cycle Racing BMW M 1000 RR, Beach is confident of being in the fight at the front of the Steel Commander Superbike pack when the series gets rolling at Road Atlanta in April, and he can't wait for the season to get started. We caught up with Beach from his rental house in Florida where he has been training with former flat track teammate Dallas Daniels and others to chat about the coming season, his new bike and much more on this week's episode of Off Track With Carruthers And Bice.

Rocco Landers can breathe easy for the first time in his short but successful career as he will show up to Daytona International Speedway with a contract to race for one of the best teams in the paddock - Vance & Hines Motorsports. Landers, who at just 19 has 48 MotoAmerica wins (29 in Junior Cup, 15 in Twins Cup and four in Supersport) on his resume, will make his debut in the Mission King Of The Baggers class on a RevZilla/Mission/Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson at Daytona while also hoping to continue his previous success in the BellissiMoto Twins Cup Series on a new RevZilla/Mission/Vance & Hines Suzuki GSX-8R. Peter Hickman is the all-time Isle of Man TT lap record holder at 136.358 mph. He's also won 13 TTs, putting him ninth all-time. And now he's coming to Daytona International Speedway to race in his first Daytona 200 on his PHR Performance Triumph. We caught up with the Brit during his pre-Daytona visit to Texas and the Colin Edwards Texas Tornado Boot Camp to talk about his Daytona debut. So, who is Troy Herfoss, you ask? The newest member of the Indian Motorcycle/Progressive/Mission Foods team is a three-time Australian Superbike Champion, an AMA Supermoto Champion (during Supermoto’s heyday) and an XGames silver medalist in Supermoto. And now he’s making a change. A big change. With his debut set to come in the Mission King Of The Baggers races at Daytona, Herfoss will embark on a new journey. He will be racing in a new series, in a new country and on a completely different type of motorcycle than he’s ever raced before. We caught up with the Aussie to chat about all that and more as we close in on his debut at Daytona in March.

Alex Arango may end up being the busiest man in the MotoAmerica paddock during the 2024 season. With a gaggle of as many as eight riders on his TopPro Motorsports team, including former MotoAmerica Supersport Champion Sean Dylan Kelly, Arango will also be joining Kelly on the team's BMW M 1000 RRs in the Steel Commander Superbike Championship. Jake Lewis will be busy doing what he loves most this coming MotoAmerica season... racing motorcycles and living life in the paddock. And he'll definitely be spinning a lot of laps with the Kentuckian set to grid up in three drastically different classes this season - Mission King Of The Baggers, Supersport and Super Hooligan National Championship. To be ready for the challenge his Altus Motorsports (Supersport) and Team Saddlemen teams (Baggers and Hooligan), Lewis has been busy training and to carry less weight on his big frame. Cameron Petersen had a horrible 2023 season in the MotoAmerica Superbike Championship with a badly injured wrist ruining his year. With surgery and rehab behind him, Petersen is ready for the 2024 Steel Commander Superbike series and his testing program starts next week in Arizona. To say that Ben Gloddy had a rough 2023 MotoAmerica season would be an understatement. As one of the favorites to challenge for the Twins Cup Championship, Gloddy's season unraveled before it really got started as a crash in the first race of the season at Daytona left him with severe injuries. It wasn't until the final round of the season at New Jersey Motorsports Park that Gloddy returned to action and his results were impressive with fourth- and fifth-place finishes in the two races.
