MotoAmerica Off Track with Carruthers and Bice

The 2024 MotoAmerica Championship will be here before we know it and we caught up with MotoAmerica COO Chuck Aksland, the man behind the schedule, to chat about the addition of Mid-Ohio and more on this episode of Off Track With Carruthers And Bice.

Dallas Daniels recently finished second to nine-time AMA Grand National Champion Jared Mees in the 2023 AFT Mission Twins Championship. But this weekend, Daniels is back in the MotoAmerica Championship for the first time since 2019 as he's set to race in the REV'IT! Twins Cup class on an Estenson Racing Yamaha YZF-R7 at New Jersey Motorsports Park. We caught up with the former Junior Cup racer to talk about his season in flat track, his love of road racing, and all things motorcycles.

Stefano Mesa won his first MotoAmerica Supersport race of the year in race one at Pittsburgh International Race Complex a few weeks ago. The next day he followed up his victory with another podium finish - his sixth of the year - to end the weekend third in the championship and only 13 points out of second. This week the news broke that Mesa was foregoing the Supersport class after getting a once-in-a-lifetime chance to race a full-blown, race-winning BMW M 1000 RR Superbike vacated by the injured Cameron Beaubier for the Tytlers Cycle Racing team. Mesa jumped at the chance and will race the BMW at next weekend's eighth round at Circuit of The Americas and a few weeks later in the season finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park. We caught up with Mesa to chat about his opportunity and much more on this week's episode of Off Track With Carruthers And Bice.

Josh Hayes won his first AMA road race in 1999 at Daytona International Speedway. Ten years later he won the first of four of his AMA Superbike titles. In 2014, he won the "last" of his Superbike Championships. Now this: On July 29, at the tender age of 48 years old, Hayes won the Supersport race at Brainerd International Raceway for a record-setting 87th career AMA road race victory.
