Join Pacific Whale Foundation’s Chief Scientist, Jens Currie at the next "Know Your Ocean Speaker Series", hosted by Maui Nui Marine Resource Council. Tues. Starting work in 1974, Colin Cantwell is the original concept artist and model builder for the Star Wars spaceships. His other less known, but equally important projects include 2001: A Space Odyssey and War Games, as well as his role as the lead NASA analyst for CBS during the 1st moon landing. This will be followed by an opportunity for fans to meet Colin, ask questions and share stories.

The Future of Healing

Ho'ōla Nā Pua is renovating a 20,000sf building on a 12 acre campus with a goal to open

in 2021 as the first licensed and accredited residential facility in Hawaii to specifically

meet the unique needs of commercially sexually exploited girls. Named Pearl Haven, the

secure campus has been designed to offer physical and emotional safety for up to 32

commercially sexually exploited girls between 11-18 years. Residents will receive

treatment programs including trauma recovery, care coordination, onsite education, life

skills development and family therapy to support successful reintegration into the

community. The campus will include health rooms, classrooms, therapy rooms, a

commercial teaching kitchen, and a greenhouse.
