It's also a chance to see what other parts of the Land O'Lakes, Inc. business are doing on their behalf.
As a farmer-owned cooperative - it’s important we celebrate our members and recognize the challenges of the current dairy market and agriculture industry.
The meeting was held over the course of two days in Minneapolis – where our farmer members and retail owners reviewed business performance of 2018 and looked ahead to 2019 alongside Co-op leadership.

All Together Better: Marketing and the cooperative
21m · PublishedMarketing was one of our founding principles when we began in 1921. Our new Dairy Foods campaign kicked off this fall; All Together Better with the rewriting of one of the most iconic songs in farming - Old McDonald. From E-I-O to She-I-O we wanted to pay tribute to the nearly one million women in farming according to the USDA.
Everyone contributes to what makes Land O’Lakes a leader in food and agriculture. We believe that by working together we’re all better because of it.

From An Owner: The power of member engagement
24m · Published Pete Kappelman is a fourth-generation Wisconsin dairy farmer who was named 2018 Dairyman of The Year at The World Dairy Expo, crediting his success to never thinking you have all the answers. Pete is also retiring after 15 years as the Land O'Lakes, Inc. Chairman of the board; a governing group made entirely of farmers. Pete has set an example not just in the Land O'Lakes, Inc. organization but in agriculture as a farmer who is proactive, progressive, engaging, and advocates on behalf of fellow farmers.
As a farmer-owned cooperative, having an engaged membership is critical to the ongoing success of Land O’Lakes, Inc.
