This week, the boys discuss the news that Henry Cavill will not be coming back as Superman, confirming James Gunn's plan to reboot the DC movie universe. They discuss the ending of the SnyderVerse, what Henry Cavill as Superman has meant to them, and more.  

As heartbreaking as the end of the SnyderVerse is, don't forget that they can never take away the fact that we got the Snyder Cut released. No matter what, we as a community achieved the impossible. And they can never take away the movies that we have! Let's see what James Gunn will bring to the DCU!

This week, Jared, Tristen/Nerdette's Newstand, and Robert Willing discuss their favorite Geoff Johns Comics!   Geoff Johns is one of the titans of the comic book industry and it is a pleasure to discuss his work with this panel! They discuss the different eras of Johns' writing, from Green Lantern all the way to JSA. They also talk Jon Kent and why Son of Kal El failed and why the potential is there for a Jon Kent renaissance.

This week, Jared discusses the Marvel characters with whom Superman would fall in love if he were a Marvel Character. He outlines characters such as Gamora, Storm, Thena, and many others. Jared also futhure outlines why Superman fits with Wonder Woman and why he would work with Emma From or Captain Marvel. Later, he outlines why Batgirl is a fantastic character in the Batman mythos and why she has endured as such a great character.   

This is always such a fun thought experiment since it cultivates a deeper understanding of both companies' characters and their individual personalities. Additionally Batgirl stands as one of the greatest comic book characters of all time.

This week, Jared and Teladia discuss the idea that there is no definitive versions of DC characters; there is only the version the fan prefers. They discuss why all versions of a character are valid, why demanding one's favorite iteration be reflected in every future version is unrealistic, and why having one's preferences does not invalidate another's preferences. They conclude by discussing Gotham Knights and comparing it to the Arkham series. 

It is totally fine to have a favorite version of Batman, Superman, etc. But one must allow others to have their own preferred versions. Liking Ben Afleck as Batman does not invalidate one's love of Michael Keaton. The only rule is, liking one over the other does not make one any less of a DC fan.

This week, the boys discuss why Zack Snyder's Justice League worked while Josstice League ultimately failed. They discuss the plots, characterizations, and the background of the situation (i.e., Autumn Snyder, Walter Hamada, etc) to establish the framework for the discussion. They also discuss the inevitability of Zack Snyder's epic return to the DCU and what the story could look like.

Let's face it, no matter you're opinion of Zack Snyder's DC movies, the Snyder Cut was superior to the Whedon Cut. Even the ardent detractors of Snyder admit that point, so it's important to have this discussion.

They also discuss why the suit he wears and the theme that plays has NO affect on the possibility of the SnyderVerse returning. Thank you, Rock for bring back this generation's Christopher Reeves. Our boy is back after being on the sidelines for way to long!  

After close to 10 years absence from the DCEU, Henry Cavill's Superman is finally home! This is truly a wonderful time to be a DC fan!
