My name is Uveka Rangappa and I would so love to be the host of your next solid gold podcast series.
Now you might know me as a television and radio news anchor and the host of shows like Great Expectations, Health Matters and Rights and Recourse. I've been a journalist for over 26 years now. And I have worked with some of the greats in radio and television. I MC and host various events from weddings and funerals to award ceremonies, webinars and conferences, and I moderate panels.
I am a wife and a mom of two. I am a middle child, which is my excuse for when I'm badly behaved or drink too much tequila. I am a great believer in karma and the universe. So I'm just dying for some candid real conversations about parenting. Let's not pretend it's all cuddles and kisses it can be a damned nightmare, If we're being honest. Health and wellness, I've had my fair share of health challenges. Mental health, we all know someone right? Relationships and sex. I've been in TV and voiceovers for an embarrassingly long time. I sat on a desk for eTV (I didn't fall off though people took bets that that would happen.) I did a travel show for CNN. That was 20 years ago and I was probably about 20 kilos lighter then two. I worked for BBC World and Al Jazeera for 13 years.

presenter; DJ and TV Personality.
Fix, made MTV history when she became the first female VJ on ‘MTV networks Africa’.
The entrepreneurial beauty has graced our screens since 2006 when she won a nationwide competition to become MTV base’s newest presenter. Fix at the time a student at Cape Town University studying Film & Media, was picked from obscurity by MTV base from thousands of applicants and immediately joined the fast track.
Since then the multi-talented entertainer also joined the 5FM team.
