Seventeen-year-old Eddie Garrett seems to be following in his brother's footsteps...right to the electric chair! After the case, Dick Powell sings, "Where Are You?" + Diamond receives a call from Lieutenant Walter Levinson. A prisoner, Bill Garrett, who is in the nearby prison has asked as his last request that Diamond visit him before he goes to the electric chair at eight o'clock that evening. The guy that he shot had a wife and two kids, so Diamond is not too keen on going to see someone who he himself despises. Garrett has a young brother called Eddie. He wants Diamond to try and get Eddie back on the right tracks, a pretty impossible task!

The story was previously produced on "Suspense" on May 25, 1943. The story was subsequently produced on "Suspense" on February 24, 1944 , September 6, 1945, November 18, 1948 , September 15, 1952, October 20, 1957 and February 14, 1960 . + Sorry Wrong number is the dramatic and tense story of an invalid woman, Mrs Stevenson who is all alone at home and trying desperately to contact her husband by telephone. When she contacts the operator to connect her she accidentally overhears a conversation about death and strives frantically to prevent murder from claiming an innocent victim.

Distressed he cried that someone had pushed her in front of his car. Tom Cook Was held on a manslaughter charge for her killing and his father believing him to be innocent contacts Richard Diamond to investigate.

The story is based on, "The Adventurous Exploit Of The Cave Of Ali Baba (written in 1928). + In a grim and narrow house in Lambeth a man sits eating kippers and reading the daily paper. He has just finished eating and is sipping his coffee when a slight noise at the front door catches his ear. Swiftly, too swiftly for a quiet little man, he springs up and dashes through to the small hallway and flings open the door. There is no-one in sight. And, as if he knew what he would find, he shuts the door and turns to the hat-stand in the hall. An envelope has been placed there.
