Redefining The Beauty of Black Hair with CEO Alisha Brooks

If you live in the North Florida area, you may know Alisha for creating and hosting natural hair events such as Curls and Cocktails and many curly girl meet-ups. In 2020 at the height of the pandemic, she launched The Black Experience an interactive selfie that promotes self-love and celebrates Black hair and culture. Since opening her first permanent location in Atlanta, Georgia, and second permanent location in the DMV area, The Black Hair Experience has since had pop-ups in Dallas, Austin, Houston, Texas, Brooklyn, NY, and Los Angeles, California. In 2022, she launched her first retail storefront, Bohe, which sells bath, body, and home products from all Black-owned businesses.
