Our guest for this episode is Nelli Kim, the Founder and CEO of RĒDEN, a high-fashion shoe company with a purpose.

Nelli Kim has been in the fashion industry for 20 years but was diagnosed with cancer in 2016, and went through a seven-month journey of surgery and chemo - As a result of her treatments, Nelli developed chemo-related neuropathy, which is nerve damage that causes tingling, numbness or pain in the hands and feet.

In 2019, she left her role at Caleres and spent two years researching and developing Rēden, a direct-to-consumer footwear brand built with orthopedic functionality and a fashion aesthetic. Our guest for this episode is Meggie Palmer, the Founder and CEO of PepTalkHer, a global organisation which  works in-house with companies to recruit, retain & promote  diverse talent.  They  run corporate programming for brands including Salesforce, JP Morgan & LinkedIn, and also created an app to help women track their wins at work and benchmark their salaries.

Our guest for this episode is Shuyin Tang, a Partner at Patamar Capital, a leading impact investing firm in Southeast Asia. Shuyin is responsible for Patamar's investing activities in the Mekong region and has led investments into education, financial technology, employee benefits and healthcare companies.

Shuyin also spearheaded Patamar’s gender lens investing efforts, including managing one of the first gender lens investing funds in Southeast Asia, the Investing in Women Fund. She is also the co-founder and CEO of the Beacon Fund, a boundary-breaking fund for female entrepreneurs in Southeast Asia's emerging markets. In this episode, Shuyin and I talked about the impact of the work she is doing, the innovation of  female entrepreneurs, inspiring case studies of their clients, the biggest thing she learned as a person, and more.

Shuyin was named one of Australia's "100 Women of Influence" by the Australian Financial Review in 2015 and an Asia 21 Young Leader by the Asia Society in 2016. She currently serves on the Southeast Asia Advisory Council of Women’s World Banking, a global NGO promoting women’s financial inclusion. She graduated summa cum laude from the Australian National University where she was also awarded the University Medal.

Our guest for this week’s episode, Katrina Edillor, the Head of AX Ventures at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners & Board Observer at The Benevolent Society. In her current position, Katrina leads CCEP Ventures in Australia, the Pacific, and Indonesia and manages its investment portfolio.

Adding to her skills and portfolio, Katrina drives commercial partnerships that scale start-ups and help CCEP sell more beverages and she also represents CCEP Australia in the Board of Western Australia Return Recycle Renew.

She helped found The Big Issue in Australia and co-founded Scale Investors to fund female-led startups.

Susan is also an active angel investor through Scale and dedicated to supporting innovation and participation by women as both entrepreneurs and investors, all in all, she has contributed significantly to the innovation, IT, and arts policy agendas in Australia.

She was awarded a Centenary Medal in 2001 for service to Australian society in business and an AM in 2019 for significant service to business and to women.

In this episode, our guest is Esther Pan Sloane, Head of Partnerships, Policy and Communications at United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF). Prior to joining UNCDF, Esther was a U.S. diplomat for 10 years. As Adviser at the Permanent Mission of the United States to the United Nations in New York, she was on the U.S. team that negotiated the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. She also served on the Executive Boards of UNDP, UNICEF, UNOPS, and UNFPA, pushing the agencies to become more efficient, effective, and accountable for results.

Esther graduated from Stanford University with a BA with honors in English and International Relations and earned an MA in Theater and Performance from the University of Cape Town, which she attended on a Fulbright Fellowship. Prior to joining the U.S. Foreign Service, Esther worked as a journalist in print, radio, and national magazines for the first ten years of her career. She also has a major interest in theatre, especially theatre that helps change governments.
