This episode is about money. Why we don't have enough of it, how we are enslaved by it, and how Power seems to be just out of reach due to it. Our latest release “Money Ho” (video here) is shining a giant light on the injustices women face around money. From equal pay to the pink tax, we are fed up with working the hardest and having the least. Our guest this week is Carol Jenkins CEO and president of the ERA Coalition. Until women are equal under the constitution, we don’t stand a chance at having equal pay. Sound the alarm, this is a wake-up call ladies, it’s time to demand equality and finally pass the ERA. Ego says "once everything falls into place , I'll feel peace." Spirit says "find your peace, and then everything will fall into place" - Marianne Williamson We attempt to answer the age old question “Why is it so hard living in a first problem world?” Our new single American Girl is out, and in honor of Women's History Month, we dive into the tropes commonly associated with being a woman in America, including the cyclical problem of wanting more, getting more, and feeling sad when the golden handcuffs keep getting tighter. Our guest is Marianne Williamson -- an author, spiritual leader, political candidate, and activist. She has written 13 books, including four New York Times number one bestsellers. In this first episode, we dive into what influenced our first single "Get It Girl You Go" from our "Women Of Tomorrow" album. This song rejoices that the future is female and describes women doing it all, breaking the glass ceiling and getting a seat at the table. We also pay homage to the women who came before us and paved the way by taking you thru a brief historical breakdown of women’s rights in the last 100 plus years. Amy McGrath is an American politician, former Marine fighter pilot, and candidate for the United States Senate from Kentucky (Oct 2020). McGrath was the first woman to fly a combat mission for the Marine Corps, as well as the first to pilot the F/A-18 on a combat mission. During her 20 years of service in the Marine Corps, McGrath flew 89 combat missions against al-Qaeda and the Taliban. Toward the end of her service, McGrath worked domestically as a political adviser, a liaison officer, and an instructor at the United States Naval Academy.
