He made his Broadway debut in 2001 in the original cast of Mamma Mia, which launched his stage career. He then starred in shows like: Avenue Q, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Buyer and Cellar off-Broadway.Barrett is also the vice-chair of Every Day Action,an organization whose goal is to change the way Hollywood manages food waste.
