Ep 192 | (Special Keynote) From 0 To Community In 4 Weeks: A Strategy That Even Your CFO Will Love

43m · Published 26 Sep 20:00

In 2020, we launched a community as a service to our client that led to $40M in revenue in year 1, and it has only gotten better since.

But we were lucky to have a C-Suite that was willing to endure a 6 month period where it wasn't clear the community would yield business results.

So we took a closer look at what really made it work to see if there was anything we could do to speed up the positive feedback loop.

That's when we realized most of the value originated from 25 super-members, and it completely changed the way we approach a community launch.

 We realized that:

IF we can sprint to activate a nucleus of 15-25 members,

THEN the positive outcomes of community will produce business results faster,

SO your C-suite can't say "no"!

By the end of 2021, we figured out how... and to top it all off, it pays for itself on the front end!

It is simple strategy of creating a cohort based online class to bring your tribe on a journey together, unite them, and then continue to nurture them/add value by making them the heroes of the community.

In this session, you'll learn:

- what we did to launch the year 1 $40M community (this was just direct attribution!)
- how to incorporate an online cohort to accelerate the results of your community (and have the launch pay for itself!)
- what are the next steps once the 4 weeks are over and it's time to make sure you keep engagement up in your community (everyone's biggest issue!)

Time make community available to everyone!

Ep 191 | What VC Money Thinks of Community w/ Randall Crowder

1h 9m · Published 19 Sep 17:00

Community has hit a tipping point in marketing circles, and it's rapidly getting thrown into company playbooks, but if Venture Capital doesn't buy in, it won't transcend corporate culture.

So let's find out what VC's think of it right now.

That's why I picked Randall Crowder's brain about the current status of community in the VC world.  Randall led over 40 angel investments and deployed over $60M across 14 companies as a venture capitalist.

Randall is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Phunware (NASDAQ: PHUN), a technology company in Austin, TX providing brands with a fully integrated cloud platform for mobile, including a blockchain-enabled data exchange and mobile loyalty ecosystem- another sector ripe with community potential

Randal and I will talked about:

- why VC money hasn't started flowing into community yet
- what influencer marketing means to the world of venture backed firms
- how blockchain will inevitably enable greater engagement with clientele and community
- and much more!

Randall is passionate about new venture creation and the innovative spirit that fuels entrepreneurs and advances technology.  Come get fueled by his unique insights!
