Its that time of year you have all been waiting for! Everyone's favorite season is here! After months of waiting, you wake up to find a new podcast episode under the podtree - but it's not just any old regular episode. No, this one is the BWF BOTY!!! (Which of course you know is the Bookends With Friends Book of the Year). We are back at for the 2nd annual book bracket to decide which book of our 2022 book club was the undisputed, absolutely correct, with zero bias or error, BEST book of the 12 books we read. We have a very special episode that is brought to us by an alternate version of our podcast who revolutionized podcasting and reading stuff in general. And weirdly they do book weeks the 2nd week of every month. Coincidentally we're also reading the same book! Blake Crouch's reality bending thriller, Dark Matter! Other us starts off their episode with the usual synopsis (same same same), and immediately jump into their first thoughts and favorite characters (still tracking). They spend some time grading our protagonist Jason on his actions throughout the story and close out the episode by...disagreeing??? *re-reads post-it note from other reality* Wow they really did it. An interesting philosophical debate regarding our nature as human beings and how it can or can't be twisted within a short period of time. That's where we went wrong. Tip of the cap to other us on this achievement in podcasting. I do think one us us got switched with their alternate from the other reality....huh oh well. Guess we'll never know. But we do know that we want to hear your thoughts on Dark Matter! Who was right, who was wrong, why you like Amanda as much as we do! Send em' all!

We're closing in on the end of the year and before it's over we'd like to tell you about some of our favorite books and book moments of 2022!
