Embrace Your Ambition

This is the fifth and final segment of the Unleashing Hope Challenge and today we are focusing on MINDSET. We know that fear can so easily creep in and keep us from reaching our full purpose. We also know the reward that comes from stepping out in faith towards the purpose God has called us to! The Bible is full of people who were given a mission or a dream and felt afraid. To name just one, Moses was afraid when God asked him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, but Moses took ACTION and that is where he moved from God’s promise to God’s provision. Fear is not from God.

We're looking back so that we can look forward! Today Marcus and I are talking about honestly assessing 2021 with all of it's wins and losses in order to plan for the future. When talking about assessment, we address two ends of the spectrum that you might fall into: finding it hard to list the wins because you're your own worst critic and glossing over failures because you won't acknowledge that problems exist. The American poet Suzy Kassem has a quote that goes: “Fear kills more dreams than failure ever will.” I think that is beautiful and so perfect, because today we're talking about dreams and the fear of failure. Marcus and I give you our thoughts on God's role in our dreams, and we get real with you and share the dreams that live in our hearts. It's always darkest before the dawn. Our job is to trust in God and to find the courage and the resolve to not just overcome the obstacles in our paths, but to embrace them. Today I'll tell you about a few of my own experiences embracing the boulders in my life and the beauty and joy that I have witnessed as a result. Hey Warriors! I am so honored and so blessed to welcome my new co-host Marcus Black, to the show. Marcus and I met while planning the Embrace Your Ambition conference in Denver last year and I truly believe that God placed him in my life to be my partner in this journey we're on: to bring God into people's lives and encourage them to follow their passion.
