Wherever you are in your journey to find and realize your passion, you need to be making moves! As part of day 2 of our Unleashing Hope Challenge, we're talking about why you need to have a Vision and Mission Statement for your life. We talk about what they are, how they help, and why you should write them down!
As always, Marcus and I will also be discussing your purpose and how to find it. Marcus shares his thoughts on understanding who God is and what Purpose can mean in a life. We talk about facing the fear of starting, fear of looking foolish, and what to do when you don't feel like you're enough. If you just don't know where to start, I have some advice for that too! This is the fifth and final segment of the Unleashing Hope Challenge and today we are focusing on MINDSET. We know that fear can so easily creep in and keep us from reaching our full purpose. We also know the reward that comes from stepping out in faith towards the purpose God has called us to! The Bible is full of people who were given a mission or a dream and felt afraid. To name just one, Moses was afraid when God asked him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, but Moses took ACTION and that is where he moved from God’s promise to God’s provision. Fear is not from God.

Today’s episode is all about getting your feet wet and waiting with action! Waiting on God can be hard, but waiting doesn’t mean sitting still and doing nothing. It’s easy to get impatient and either give up on our dreams or try to take matters into our own hands, settling for something that isn’t God’s full promise for us. So how do we wait well? In this episode, I talk about practical things you can do while you’re waiting for that next piece from God and the importance of saying “yes” to opportunities as they come your way.

Think setting good goals is easy? Think again! Today Marcus and I are here to guide you in the creation of S.M.A.R.T. goals that will help you achieve your dreams! We talk about making different kinds of goals to achieve success in different areas of your life. Marcus has some fundamental advice for you and addresses the kinds of obstacles you may face when trying to reach your targets. We also discuss what to do when you're not able to achieve the goals you set and how to re-assess and rebound.
Well-crafted goals can help you stay on track and act as mile markers along the path to reaching your ultimate Vision. In this episode, I tell you the mindset I want you to keep when writing down your objectives and the specific information I want you to include. Marcus and I also talk about staying focused, finding people who can help you, and taking action. We discuss accountability and provide tips that will help you along the way. You CAN achieve your dreams and achieving your S.M.A.R.T. goals is what is going to get you there!

55. Honest Reflection and Intention Setting for 2022
We're looking back so that we can look forward! Today Marcus and I are talking about honestly assessing 2021 with all of it's wins and losses in order to plan for the future. When talking about assessment, we address two ends of the spectrum that you might fall into: finding it hard to list the wins because you're your own worst critic and glossing over failures because you won't acknowledge that problems exist. Marcus and I share some of our own wins and losses from 2021 and previous years in the hopes that it will inspire you! Honesty with yourself is key in this exercise.
