A chat with a Sports Therapist & Belfast Futsal?

15m · Published 06 Aug 11:22

Sport matters to us all whether we are spectators or players and it is fair to say that the last two years have brought chaos into the world of sport but hopefully we are coming out the other end.

My podcast this week is with Aidan Raftery a Sports injury therapist who is an online friend for a number of years and the podcast arose out of Aidan's recent appointment as sports physio for Sparta Belfast  Futsal Club who will be competing in a UEFA tournament later this month in Estonia.Aidan is no stranger to the sport of football futsal because he previously filled a similar role in Kiev in 2019 for the Irish diabetic futsal team.

Many of you may have limited knowledge about futsal but to generalize it is a high intensity indoor football sport which is recognised for being great for ball control and skills and is exciting to watch because it is an attacking form of football that is non stop end-to-end stuff
