Fund objective: To achieve positive environmental and/or social impacts while generating a total return comprised of income and capital growth by investing in emerging market debt and debt-related securities and related FDI.

Fund benchmark: The Fund will measure its performance against the J.P. Morgan EM Credit Green, Social and Sustainability Bond Diversified Index (USD Hedged) (the "Benchmark") for comparison purposes. However, the Investment Manager does not seek to align the Fund's performance with that of the Benchmark and the performance of the Fund and the Benchmark may differ significantly. The Fund is actively managed, which means the Investment Manager has discretion to invest outside the Benchmark subject to the investment objective and policy. The Fund has an unconstrained investment style, and as such it will not take the Benchmark into account when selecting the Fund's investments.

Due to the Fund’s recent launch, past performance data will not be available until the Fund has been running for a complete 12-month period.

He speaks to speaks to Investment Officer's Raymond Frenken about the global business climate for technology investments, about rising interest rates and inflation, about artificial intelligence, about the new Nato Investment Fund where he serves on the board, and about his qualified enthusiasm for technology. 

Institutional investment portfolios in Europe could do with more venture capital, especially when it comes to making green impact investments, he said.

“It's pretty ridiculous that our institutional investors are not actually investing in that space,” said Van Oranje. “When it comes to the portfolio of investments of Dutch and European institutional investors, venture capital is still far too small. If you compare that to the US, where for instance the Yale Endowment fund has 20 per cent invested, you know, it’s a completely different ballpark. We miss that.”
