Welcome to this little mini-series on Cracking the Growth Code®. In part 1, we're diving into what type of business owner are you?

Do you ever feel like there’s something holding you back from reaching your next level of success? You know you’re meant for more and you wish you could crack the growth code.

The big lesson I’ve learned on my up-and-down business journey is that there are phases to business and we are different people in each. But when we take the time to pinpoint where we are and identify with who we are and align who we need to be, we can get unstuck and move to the next level.

Cracking the Growth Code® is easy once you’ve cleared the path of what’s keeping you stuck where you are.

I believe that business can be the biggest teacher in self-development. It’s one of the reasons I love business so much because GROWTH is an important value to me.

How to deal with a difficult client

A few clients have brought this up in coaching calls, they’ve asked “Sian, how do I deal with a difficult client?”

For business owners and particularly when you have a small team, a difficult client can really rock the boat. It’s not cut and dry, you can’t run around resigning PITA clients (that’s a pain in the a**) because they possibly bring in a good chunk of revenue. On the flip side, they could be hurting your team and creating a horrid working environment. How you handle the situation reflects on your leadership.

Do you have a lead problem... or is it something else?

I hear business owners saying they need more leads but let’s check in and ask, are you sure?

There are only three ways to grow any business, and getting new clients is one of the ways. If you don’t know what it costs you to acquire a new client, I suggest you pause whatever you’re doing and go figure that out then come right back here.

If you’re spending good money to fill up your leads bucket which is full of holes, you’re throwing money down the drain. You may as well pop down to the casino and put your marketing dollars on red or black.
