I hope all of you mothers have an incredible Mothers Day!

It can be extremely scary to try something new or to step outside of our comfort zone… but staying in the same situation with no hope can be even scarier.  I encourage you to take a leap of faith if there is something weighing heavily on your heart. Trust in yourself and pray about it - God won’t leave you hanging.   

“Your reaction sets the stage for how others will trust you with their mistakes.”

How do you react when others bring you less than desirable news?  Are you building a culture of secrecy and embarrassment or promoting ownership and transparency?  I encourage you to evaluate how you react to bad news from those you lead.

“As we travel down the road of leadership, we must be prepared to fill the potholes.”

Can you identify the potholes in your life?  What about the ones in your organization?  Are you going to fill them so that others don’t fall in or just drive right over them? 

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” - Rev 3:20

God is knocking folks, but we have to open the door.  Prayer is a great tool that we have here on earth, but it also requires action on our part.  I encourage you to reflect on your prayers - what opportunities for action has God already placed in your life?

Think about the folks you lead.  Are you truly accepting them for who they are, or do you force them to meet you on your field?  I challenge you to be fluid this week and allow those you lead to be themselves.

What is your goal in this race of life… fast or far?  We need others to help us along the way, whether it’s for motivation or to carry us along the trail.  I encourage you to check your speed today. Are you running with your team or are you all by yourself?

Who do you need to forgive today?  I encourage you to pray about it and pray for the ones you need to forgive.  It isn’t easy, we are human and this doesn’t come natural. Forgiveness isn’t about forgetting what has happened, it is about freeing yourself from the bondage.
