What I learned is behind every local business is a great story. My mission continues to share the stories of local businesses. Progress Over Perfection with John Beaman

44m · Published 05 Oct 15:00
If you are like most entrepreneurs you strive for perfection that what we do. But how does striving for perfection hold you bad from making progress? I know from personal experience that I have run into this wall many times throughout my life. John Beaman and I go deep on issues that small businesses run into every day. As you listen to this episode you will hear how I run into many issues recording this interview. This was the first interview using my new Rodecaster mixer and new Rode Podmic and my new software Logic. I could have edited the hell our this episode and made it perfect but I wanted to use this as an example of how shit happens every day that we have to deal with and we will get through it. Enjoy the conversation. Make sure to leave your comments and share. Meet John Beaman John grew up in southeast Wisconsin and moved to Texas as a young adult where he currently serves as President of The McGraw Council Membership, Inc., also known as The McGraw Council. Beaman attended Liberty University for his undergraduate degree in Business Administration: Economics where he graduated summa cum laude and dually enrolled in Liberty’s Master of Business Administration: Leadership program where he graduated with high distinction. During his MBA, John also attended Leadership Rockwall and joined the Class of 2018 in their community project of building computer resource stations for three nonprofits in Rockwall County. During his time in college, John helped start, build, and sell a small landscaping business based in Rockwall County and upon graduating from the MBA program at Liberty University, he began working in the merchant services industry with Merchant Masters, a family-owned business, because of his passion for helping others, especially in an industry where there is much promised yet little provided. John played a pivotal role in the organization’s success and presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex as the company continues to expand across the country. After a successful two years in DFW, John was asked to serve as President of The McGraw Council, a nonprofit organization built to educate, serve, and unite small businesses across the United States. The McGraw Council seeks to provide education with actionable content, serve the small business community through various aspects, and unite the small business community to a level that has never been seen before so that all small businesses across the United States may be heard, have a voice, and achieve their American Dream. John resides in the City of Heath, a small city in the DFW metroplex with a history dating back to 1840, where he also serves on the City Council. John was first elected to the city council in 2018 and is the youngest recorded member of the city council in the city’s rich history. Additionally, John volunteers in his spare time with various nonprofits in the North Texas area, especially Rockwall County, and is very active in the Rockwall, Rowlett, and Royse City Chambers of Commerce (where he sits on their board of directors) as well as other business groups in the Lake Ray Hubbard area. John is also a member of Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall and can be found attending the weekly church gatherings in-person or online during the COVID-19 pandemic. Connect with John Beaman

I have built this company from the ground up and want to share my tactics philosophies and business growth with organizations leaders and decision-makers. Why do I do it? Because when I needed a helping hand others were there for me and the circle that I was able to create molded the very success that I have today. You are not a content creator, or are you? with Lisa Raebel

26m · Published 27 May 06:00
Whether you own a small business, an entrepreneur, or starting a new business marking and sales are crucial to survival. Lisa dives deep into what it takes to be strategic in your business with your marketing. Key takeaways from Lisa
  • You don't have to do everything in marketing.
  • You don't need to do tens of thousands of dollars.
  • You need to become a subject matter expert.
  • It's OK not to work with everybody that you meet with.

More about Lisa Raebel & Rebel Girl Marketing, LLC I have been in the sales and marketing game for over 25 years and it has been a wild ride! Marketing strategies today can get shaky if you do not start with a solid foundation of understanding of your primary audience, what resonates with them, and knowing where they hang out. Taking the sales perspective into consideration when developing marketing strategies is key to successful campaigns. It comes down to the basics: KNOW | LIKE | TRUST Rebel Girl Marketing was created to help business owners who know they need marketing yet have no idea where to start. Helping others get out of their own way to see how great they are and then finding a way to tell their world is what I love to do each day. First of all, I love talking about marketing... almost as much as my husband likes to talk about golf! :-) My goal is to get the audience to step back and look at their business, asking themselves if their message today matches their current goals and offerings. Do You Have A Wealth Mindset with Axel Meierhoefer PhD

28m · Published 17 Dec 13:43

Do you have the mindest to build wealth? I dive deep with Axel Meierhofer, PhD on what it takes to grow your wealth and leave a legacy for your family by leveraging real estate.

Key takeaways from Axel

  • How the right mindset gets you on the track to become a successful real estate investor?
  • Why residential real estate investing is more than a good plan for your money?
  • How can we build a legacy through real estate investing that serves your family and generations to come?
  • Get over your analysis paralysis, following a plan you create a path to financial independence.

More about Axel

As a retired Air Force officer, I started my first company in 2005, focusing on consulting, employee skill development and program management. These areas remain in place these days and have grown internationally. I have always had a love for education and helping people help themselves become successful. As a business owner, I began thinking about applying profits towards retirement and research clearly indicated that owning real assets would be the best way. It’s also the path that the government supports the most.

This has led to the development of a residential real estate investment portfolio currently worth about $1.5 Million. It’s still growing, and many lessons I learned are now available for me to teach, coach and mentor people.

On my journey, I havemademany relationships, learned about the pitfalls of purchases, andmadegood and bad decisions that ultimately resulted in reaching economic independence. I would love to share my expertise with your audience so they can do the same.
