Mr. Arjun Vaidya, who is the Founder and Ex-CEO of Dr. Vaidya’s, an Ayurvedic product manufacturing D2C brand. Arjun Vaidya is a sixth-generation Vaidya who has inherited the family's 100 India FDA-approved medical formulations and 50 trademarks, accumulated over 150 years. After graduating from Brown University and working at LVMH's private equity arm, Vaidya decided to start an Ayurvedic healthcare company that would combine the family's traditions with cool branding, easy-to-use products, and online retail channels. The company also offers free Ayurvedic doctor consultations to all customers. In the past year, Vaidya brought to market 38 new products. He was awarded Forbes Asia 30U30 and BusinessWorld 40U40 as well. He is now a podcast host of Direct to a billion consumers where he shares his experiences as a D2C founder!

India is a country which has been drinking tea for millions of decades and getting into the tea produce market is quite tough . Manish tells us about his journey and walks us through his seep through in the huge tea market.

It is said that "Most Millennials cater to and resonate to the Direct to Consumer format of business much more that the traditional format of business."

TeaRaja believes  "We are changing the unchanged 200 years old tea industry, which still works on the slow supply chain. Our motto is to serve you with Fresh Teas from the best gardens of India."

Manish talks about the niche market to target and to cater to who needs the freshest and best quality products. Its the quality or the service of your product which makes your brand different from the other brands in the market.

We discussed why and how a D2C business is a better and more practical option. The benefits of working on this model ,and the problems faced by him to establish his brand. The different marketing strategies he used to keep his producers and the consumers happy.

Manish strongly believes in patience and tells us about how time and gradually make things work. He tells us about his experience of getting into the e commerce market with just 2 sales per month to 4000 sales per month now. Its a journey to experience and grow step by step.

In the second episode, we host the founder of Manush Labs, Mr. Piyush Verma, an MIT graduate. Manush Labs is on a mission to bridge the gap between entrepreneurship abroad to that of entrepreneurship in India!

Piyush talks about the intricacies of social impact and its implication on our society! For example, coming from an architectural background, he lays stress on urban liveability as well!

We discussed and ideated with Piyush, an impromptu task on how to work on urban liveability in the dearth of an essential component of our lives, like water! He quickly came up with the solution of rainwater harvesting which just goes to show how well equipped are innovators with ideas that can come to fruition with the right execution!

With a plethora of subjects pertaining to social entrepreneurship on a macro and micro level, Piyush unfolded the concept really well, aggregating all the ones who have a social cause, to breed an enterprise and bring about that necessary change that’s required!

In the very first episode, we host the founder of Kolkata’s first and biggest juice bar chain popular in serving fresh range of cold pressed juices, Mr. Piyush Kankaria, who, along with his co-founder has seized an opportunity in the evergreen F&B (food & beverage) industry to build a brand serving fresh juices!

“F&B looks very glamorous from the outside, but it sure is a very tough nut to crack”. With deep intense insights evaluated in 2014, the duo, Piyush and Vikram started as a bootstrapped venture with the first outlet in one of the most famous locations of the city!

Piyush, having manually worked at Subway for about 6 months, realised what goes behind in the kitchen.

The importance of branding is a highlight of our brand! Adhering to the quality of our product, and the service with which we catered to our customers, made us different!

Packaging and feedback mechanism worked very well for our brand recognition!
