Chris O’Brien is a bit of a legend in The Australian Music Scene. He’s the general manager of touring for Destroy All Lines and former general manager for Australia’s biggest touring metal festival Soundwave 2003-2015.

During the conversation we discuss a variety of things including how to get into the music business, management, touring and tour management, festivals, and a lot more. We also have a brief conversation about Soundwave and the demise of Australia’s largest metal festival. As well as a bit of a chat about AJ Maddah - the colourful character who ran Soundwave.

Rob Carroll is the Managing Director of a Sydney based boutique PR and management company called Rare Finds.

Rare Finds aims to foster a scene within the local indie music community as well as provide unique touring opportunities for emerging artists - specifically on the east coast of Australia.

Rare Finds specialise in digital music servicing, management, consultancy, publicity, label services, and event production.

Rare Finds is also a subsidiary of Chugg Entertainment and for those of you who don’t know - Michael Chugg is a behemoth of a player in The Aussie music scene. They call Chuggy “The Godfather Of Australian Touring”.
