Phil Wickham: life is too short not to live your best life

42m · Published 13 Dec 17:00

This week I'm joined by the delightful Phil Wickham who coaches women to live their best life.

Phil begins by sharing her experince of corporate life and how when her son was ill her manager expected her to take annual leave to be with her son. It was this moment that helped Phil to realise that if she wanted to make a change it was down to her.

And Phil made that change and now coaches women to live their best possible life at work. During our conversation we talk about how women do not have to live up to the perception of what is it like to be a woman that is held by their family, workplace or society. And when women are comfortable to be who they are, how this can have a ripple effect - when as individuals we make a change, it can have a positive effect on everyone around us.

Cristiana De Lia: A passionate stubborn change maker who doesn't give up

47m · Published 22 Nov 20:00

This week Cris shares with us her story - how as a child she was angry that others weren't speaking out on topics and quickly took action by creating petitions or challening others. Through studying political sciences she discovered that she wasn't the only one speaking out and that many others are interested in creating change. And it was this that turned her anger into passion and helped her to discover campaigning.

Cris also talks about the joys of campaigning and also how hard it can be when she's constantly faced with so much injustice and the reality that campaigns don't always go to plan. Cris also shares what gets her through these moments.

Sanisha Wynter: How sharing my story is affirming and healing as well as a way to create change for others.

48m · Published 08 Nov 20:00

Sanisha identifies as a Black bi woman who lives and thrives with borderline personality disorder and mixed anxiety and depressive disorder. She is a mental health advocate and aims to support others by sharing her lived experience of her mental health conditions and her recovery journey.

Here Sanisha talks about her purpose - challenging the dominant narrative by being a role model to help others see themselves and know that they are accepted for who they really are - without having to mask up. We also touch upon the importance of co creation, with those with lived experience, in order to create change.

We mention Sansisha's ted talk: vulnerability is my superpower. You can listen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JX4kFRgTuaw&t=4s

Nama Chowdhary: following her ikigai to create change through stories

43m · Published 24 Oct 19:00

Join me in a wonderful conversation with Nama, in which she speaks passionately about how she combines her intolerance for injustice and the beauty of stories which touch the heart in order to bring people together to use their own power to create change. Here we recognise the impact an individuals can have on systemic injustice as well as th eimportance of self care for all change makers.
