With offices in Bangkok, Singapore, and Manilla, Thinking Machines focuses on building AI & data platforms to solve high impact problems and ensure success for their clients’ businesses.

Before Thinking Machines, Steph honed her skills in Stanford University, studying Bachelor of Science in Management Science and Engineering. In her last year in college, she received the award for Best Senior Project for Accenture MS&E Departmental Award 2011. In this episode, Steph also talks about her approach to decision making, OODA (Observe, Orient, Decide, Act).

Cordero, a Senior Disaster Risk Management Specialist at the World Bank (East Asia and the Pacific) managing the DRM program in the Philippines. She worked on innovative policies and instruments such as recovery frameworks; emergency cash transfers and adaptive social protection measures; multi-hazard vulnerability assessment tools; resilient infrastructure program; local government catastrophe risk insurance; and contingent financing facility for disasters.

Lesley graduated magna cum laude with a degree of Bachelor of Philosophy at University of San Carlos in 2001 and Juris Doctor of Laws at the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law in 2005. She is an Adjunct Faculty at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) for the Master’s in Disaster Risk and Crisis Management Program. She was awarded as one of The Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) of the Philippines in 2020.
