6 Reasons I'll Never Have a Freebie Library

17m · Published 23 Jun 08:00

Welcome back to another episode of the Not So Wimpy Entrepreneur Podcast!

Are you thinking about creating a freebie library?

This is something that I get pretty passionate about, so buckle up because I am being really upfront about how I feel about them in this episode.

As you can tell from the title, I do not have a freebie library, and I'm sharing with you the 6 reasons why I never will.

Some of you probably have a freebie library, and if you’re super happy with its conversion rate and you love having one, this episode might not be for you.

But I do get a lot of questions from people who are thinking about setting one up, so I thought it would be helpful for me to bring all of my answers together in this episode.

Episode 75 Takeaways:

+ A freebie library is a collection of freebies that someone gets access to when they give you their email address.

+ Freebie libraries are not so popular outside of the teaching space.

+ You won’t know what specific freebie each individual signed up for.

+ A standard lead magnet makes it easier to sell on the back end.

+ It makes it harder to be known for something when you're = giving away all kinds of things.

+ A freebie library gives your audience decision fatigue.

+ Freebie libraries often aren’t the best examples of your work.

+ You don’t want to attract an audience that is only looking for freebies.

+ You will forever be answering emails about lost passwords for a freebie library.

+ Having the right people on your list is better than a large list.

You shouldn’t feel like you have to make a freebie library just because you think everyone else is doing it...

I encourage you to really ask yourself what your goals are and how that library will or will not help you to meet those goals. If it won’t help, you don’t have to make it!

For more of my thoughts and an explanation on why I feel this way, tune in!

Strategically Using Your TpT Conversion Rate

36m · Published 16 Jun 08:00

Welcome back to another episode of the Not So Wimpy Entrepreneur Podcast!

Do you hate looking at your numbers?

I get it. I think a lot of creative, visionary types tend to struggle with the data and numbers side of their business, but it is super important to understand them!

In this episode, I am going to simplify things for you.

We are chatting about data generally, but we’re also going to be diving into the specifics of using your TpT conversion rate. We're going to talk about what it means, why you might have a low conversion rate, why you might have a high conversion rate, what you could do with your conversion rate, and how we use conversion rates to make decisions regarding our Facebook ads.

I’m bringing on my husband, Scott, to talk about this because he’s my data guy, and he’ll be able to answer all of our questions.

Even if you don't like looking at the numbers in your business, this episode is for you.

Episode 74 Takeaways:

+ You want to look at data that directly affects your outcome.

+ Compare your numbers to your own past numbers.

+ Track numbers weekly rather than daily or hourly.

+ You need to be making decisions based on data.

+ A conversion rate tells you how many people it takes to click on your product before someone buys it.

+ Don’t decrease your price to increase your conversion rate.

+ Improve your listing to improve your conversion rate.

+ Calculate your earnings per click.

It’s important to have someone tracking the numbers in your business, so if it’s not going to be you, make sure you bring someone on to do it for you.

Once you’ve collected some data, you can use it to make decisions about what products to make, what products to promote, whether to add budget to your Facebook ads or turn them off. Your numbers will tell you what to do.

Don’t forget to leave a review letting me know what you think of the podcast! I love to read them, and I really appreciate it.

Wealth, Webinars and When to Hire: Memorable Moments from the Spring Mastermind Retreat

1h 5m · Published 26 May 08:00

Are you ready to have your mind blown with entrepreneurial knowledge?

Back in March, I hosted a two-day retreat for my teacher-entrepreneur mastermind. We call ourselves the Not So Wimpy CEOs!

I am bringing you a compilation of some of the best tips and ideas that were covered by a portion of our guests in this episode!

You will get to hear from Emily Sandberg, Bookkeeper and Certified Life Coach; Rick Mulready, Online Business Coach and Podcast Host; Tasha Cochran, Wealth Coach; Beth Hoff, Integrator; and Erika Macauley, OBM and Integrator.

From money management to webinars to working with a team and more, we explore so many important and transformative topics. As soon as we wrapped up the retreat, I knew I had to share all I could with you!

Episode 71 Takeaways:

  • You have to be willing to look at your money.
  • There is data in your money.
  • Your value is what saves you, not your money.
  • Selling is serving.
  • Think of your webinar as creating a desire for your offer rather than as teaching.
  • You want to influence your audience to make a decision.
  • People spend money on what they value.
  • Prioritize your personal finances.
  • Your business owes you money.
  • An integrator is to your business what a fireplace is to fire.
  • The integrator executes the visionary’s idea.

Of course, I couldn’t share everything from this two-day retreat, but this episode is just a little sneak peek into some of the amazing lessons and ideas that are shared at the Not So Wimpy CEO Mastermind Retreat.

I encourage you to tune in and grab a piece of paper and a pen because you’re going to want to write down some of these incredible takeaways!

5 Mistakes You’re Making When Hiring Help

31m · Published 19 May 11:04

Are you trying to do everything on your own?

If you haven’t started to experience burnout, you likely will pretty soon, but there is a simple solution to this. Hire some help!

I talk about hiring help a lot because it’s something that we are all scared to do in the beginning stages of our business. The problem with this is that not hiring keeps us stuck because we aren’t able to do everything ourselves.

To continue to grow and scale our business without getting burnt out, hiring is crucial. Plus, you probably don’t want to be doing everything yourself anyway. Right?

As someone who has experienced these feelings and gone through the hiring process, I am giving you some insight as well as explaining 5 hiring mistakes that I see happen often.

Episode 70 Takeaways:

+ You don’t have to do everything by yourself.

+ Hiring help prevents burnout.

+ Start considering help before you feel like you're drowning.

+ Hiring is an investment, not an expense.

+ Create clear job descriptions and application processes.

+ Hire from within your community.

+ Set a clear goal for your new hire.

+ You don’t have to have everything perfectly organized to start hiring.

No matter what stage you are at in your business, I want you to recognize that hiring is part of growing a business! While it can be an overwhelming process, it is so beneficial in the long run to have a team alongside you!

Tune in to learn more about how I recommend taking on the hiring process and the five mistakes I want you to avoid!

Also, I created a two-hour hiring workshop covering all of the lessons that I’ve learned about hiring. We go through the entire hiring process from beginning to end! Access it here.

And if they see value in what you are offering them, they will buy it.
