The Scrappy Business Podcast
by Jessica Dornieden, Marketing Strategist, Co-Founder @PristinePodcasts
The Scrappy Business Podcast (formerly Podcasting for Experts) is a weekly business podcast for service-based business owners, coaches and creators looking to get their business D.O.N.E. so that they can live their lives.
Many times we get stuck in overthinking and overanalysing and learning - and we forget about IMPLEMENTATION. We don’t say what’s important to us, because we don’t have the PERFECT way to say it yet - so we end up doing nothing.
Your host, business consultant and all around unicorn Jessica Dornieden, will break you out of this cycle so that you can build a business that is successful for YOU.

#51 The Art of Laziness - How to stop being lazy and start getting results
22m · PublishedMy friend invited me to join a book club, but I decided some time ago that I wouldn't read another book unless I was taking the time to process it to actually make the relevant changes in my life - otherwise there is just no point.
So in 2024 we're reading 52 books in 52 weeks, and when there are important takeaways I'll be sharing them with you.
Todays book: The Art of Laziness by Library Mindset
This isn't a book summary, or a review, but more important it's my most important takeaways and how they've influence my life and business.

I will be explaining what online schedulers are, best ways to use them, how TidyCal and Calendly compare on the free and paid plans, who can safely switch to TidyCal and who has to stay with Calendly.

#46 Q&A - Why you never want to write content directly on ANY platform
10m · PublishedI received this question from Connie on Facebook this week and I wanted to answer it because this is something that I used to do when I first started out online.
I got the question in response to a post where I talked about using automation tools like zapier or make, and Connie had a valid question: why even bother automating stuff, when you can just WRITE your content right into the tool.
I have 4 reasons here for why this is a really bad idea - 2 are technical reasons and the other 2 are business/strategic reasons.
If you also have a question you want me to answer, DM me on FB or IG any time @jessicadornieden

#44 Finding Your Path: The Role of Strengths and Experiences in Business and Life
13m · PublishedIn this podcast episode, I want to take you on a personal journey of self-discovery and share how you can identify your strengths, values, and limitations.
As an entrepreneur with ADHD, I understand the challenges that come with this territory and I have recently taken a break to reflect on my life and business.
I believe that by taking assessments such as the Gallup Strengths Finder and the DISC Assessment, you can gain insights that will help you understand yourself better as well.
I also want to discuss what motivates you, the types of work you enjoy, and the importance of values in identifying who you want to work with in the future. Overall, this episode offers valuable insights for entrepreneurs like you who are trying to find their path in business and life.
This episode is part one of a two part episode. In part two we will be taking a deep-dive into our values and how much they matter when it comes to setting up or growing your business.
