Six Steps to Biz-Building Confidence

20m · Published 16 Nov 11:00

If you want to make sales or grow your business, it’s crucial for you to have and continuously reinforce the confidence you have. This often comes through a deep-seated conviction that your service or product helps others.

It’s unsettling to prospects if you’re uncertain about your business, your products, or your pricing. Your indecisiveness or nervousness may cast doubt on your abilities to produce or put off those who might otherwise wish to hire you. On the other hand, self-assurance will position you as a confident business owner, which draws people toward you and helps lead to business success.

So, how do you build confidence? By “working out” your confidence muscle.

First, you must realize and truly believe that you already have everything you need to reach your goals.

In this episode, listen for:

  • Finding your hype squad
  • Looking in the mirror and talk out loud to build your confidence
  • Being clear with your message

Practice the 6 confidence-building activities mentioned and practice them often, and you’ll not only gain confidence, but you’ll become a BADASS who will transform people’s lives.

Work to notice and change any limiting or negative thoughts about yourself, your abilities, or your product/service until you become firm in the belief that you are EXCELLENT at what you do.

Must-listen Moments:

[2:55] Permission to fail- Accept that it won't always work

[6:34] Track your wins and make your growth tangible

[16:11] I too have struggled with confidence, a little story for ya!

3 Reasons Why You Don’t Have All The Clients

14m · Published 09 Nov 11:00

What comes to mind when you think of sales? Maybe you get a yucky feeling since you know you hate it when someone gives you a sales pitch. But what if I told you, you can SELL without coming across as pushy?

I’ve worked in a variety of sales positions throughout my career, long before starting my own business. Talking and building connections with other people is something I genuinely enjoy. I believe my success in sales is directly related to my deep desire to converse with and connect to others.

When you think about it, sales is just talking to people and determining what they need. You also propose a solution if you have one.

But, how do you craft a solution other people need? And if you’ve already created a service or product, how do you find the people who need it? Maybe sales isn’t that easy - or so you think!

In this episode, listen for:

  • Needle-moving action steps
  • Dedication to marketing your services
  • Engaging with other businesses by asking questions

As you’re listening today, don’t take this as criticism if I happen to call out something you’ve been doing. We all make mistakes and get distracted from money-making activities in our business without realizing it!

What I want for you today, is that you learn from whatever hits home in this episode. The goal is for you to REFLECT on the information and decide if you want to strengthen your business by implementing the action steps I share.

Must-listen Moments:

[2:32] From invisible to visible - How to let others know who you are and what you do

[8:24] Money talk - How to confidently offer a service or product that you believe in

[11:40] How to ditch the fear of being salesy and just connect with others - when someone approaches you, set up a time to have a conversation & that’s when you ask for their business.

It’s time to examine what’s been working, what hasn’t, what you need to change going forward, and how you can make an impact in and with your business right now. Today, you have the profound opportunity to learn and implement from a fresh perspective.

I know you’re working hard to establish your business, but in order to do so, you’ll need to take ACTION! Let’s bring your business in front of as many people as possible so they’ll want to buy your service or product.

Believe in yourself and what you’re selling, and engage in non-salesy conversations with people. Others want to connect with you on a human level, to get to know and trust you, and then the money will follow. You don’t want to go unnoticed, therefore devote effort to marketing your business and NEVER be afraid to ask for business.

Setting Up Your Biz for Profit

12m · Published 02 Nov 10:10

You do NOT have to fear money. As CEOs, we need to look into how we’re making our money but also knowing what we spend that money on. The problem is that we aren't taught key personal finance principles, much less how to profitably run a business. There are coaches and bookkeepers that are willing to help, so don’t be afraid to reach out when you are feeling stuck or confused.

In this week's episode, I'll share with you the 4 introductory steps to managing your business finances. To determine whether you’re making a profit, conduct an audit to find out where your money is coming from and where it’s going. You don’t want to end up having to pay back thousands of dollars in taxes that you no longer have because you used it all for unnecessary expenses.

With the information in this episode, you have your business bookkeeping set up to make profit, pay the bills, cover taxes, and so that you can bring home a paycheck.

In this episode, listen for:

  • How to take control of your business finances
  • Why you want to avoid going into business debt
  • How to identify the specific products and services that made you profit

Must-listen Moments:

[3:45] Are those business expenses necessary or frivolous?

[6:43] How to separate taxes from income and set it aside for tax time.

Gritty AF

21m · Published 02 Nov 10:05

Starting a business is no doubt challenging and scary AF. Suddenly you’re 100% responsible for your money, your clients, your services, and yes, even your failure. The beauty is, you’re also 100% in charge of your success!

Grit is one of the four most impactful and necessary ingredients in your business that will determine whether or not you become a profit maker. Looking back, I see my own tendency to jump ship whenever things got either too challenging or boring. I was always ready for the next shiny object.

In time, I had to develop my grit muscle by setting goals and sticking with them instead of moving on to avoid discomfort. In this week's episode, join me for a discussion on how you flex your grit muscles, hustle through the hard times, and discover your power as a Gritty AF business owner!

I find all too often that women have a deep passion for something but change gears too quickly for their message to stick. This impatience and lack of stick-to-it-ness costs them energy, clients, and profit.

It’s time to ensure your business messaging, marketing, and products/services are driving toward your goals. During rough patches, that inner passion and deep belief in your power to provide solutions others need will help you stay focused, even when it becomes boring.

In this episode, listen for:

  • Goal-setting strategies for your business
  • How to dive deep into your gritty AF skills
  • What it takes to forgive yourself for mistakes

Must-listen Moments:

[1:53] Grit: What I have experienced and what it means

[9:55] Stop pivoting and get clear about your message

[13:12] Doing less is the key to achieving more

18m · Published 02 Nov 10:00

Starting a business can seem scary, but one of the first, most required building blocks of a successful business is Confidence. When you have confidence in yourself and your ability to make money, clients and money are attracted to you.

Ironically, however, this is the most common reason people come to me for profit coaching -  because they don't feel confident enough.

Give your self-confidence a quick boost as I will walk you through how to manifest yourself as a confident woman. Listen up to how I recommend building a "Huddle" and immersing yourself in situations that will expand your confidence and belief in yourself as a result of the action you push yourself to take. I’m telling you that YOU ARE an amazing BADASS woman.

In this episode, listen for:

  • Why you don’t need evidence of success to have confidence
  • How I gained confidence by attending a Christmas party
  • How your 9-5 skills can be used in your own business

Must-listen Moments:

[4:18] You have it deep-seeded in you that you are one hundred percent capable

[5:30] The big gap that’s in your way- What is that?
