In this episode, The Barton Partnership’s Founder and CEO Nicholas Barton is joined by Senior Advisor at McKinsey, Dennis Layton.

Dennis has had an extensive career in consultancy, working with McKinsey, Oliver Wyman and EY. Prior to this, Dennis spent seven years in the U.S Navy, before taking on a role within the Executive Office of the White House. 

In 2016 Dennis was listed in the Financial Times OUTstanding rankings of LGBTQ+ Executives. During his time at McKinsey he was the global Co-Leader of McKinsey’s Diversity Matters research initiative, and played a central role in McKinsey’s GLAM network, where he has been influential in ensuring both representation and inclusivity for the LGBTQ+ community within consulting. 

Here, he expands on his journey as only one of two openly gay male Partners in McKinsey’s London office and discusses the importance of providing LGBTQ+ employees with safety, support and the means to succeed.

Prior to her appointment as CEO in January 2020, Angela was General Manager of Avon Central Europe, where she led a mix of 19 mature and emerging countries.
