(#5) Being aligned in your life and work with Erin Miller

42m · Published 25 Sep 04:00
I am so excited to share this interview with my dear friend Erin Miller of Erin Joyce Photography. Erin and I met when our now 5 year olds were just infants and we immediately connected! The summer before having her daughter Erin's husband bought her a camera that she has always wanted, but never bought for herself. With this gift she was able to tap into her creativity that she lost as an adult. After having her daughter she knew that returning to work as a school counselor wasn't going to serve her, but she never intended to become a photographer. She followed her intuition, and was granted a 1 year leave from her full-time job. During this time she explored photography more and at the end of that year she left her full-time job as a school counselor and entered into full-time photography. Today she is a wedding and documentary photographer, and has recently branched her business into the coaching arena. After battling severe anxiety and coming out the other end she shares her story and what she has learned with other women because she wants to be there for them and show them there is a better way to live life. As a student of her program I can tell you it works and what she teaches has been monumental in helping me in the adjustment to being an entrepreneur. Erin shares her story of becoming an entrepreneur and listening to her intuition even when it scared her. (#4) The struggle of the working woman

23m · Published 18 Sep 04:00
Our society today doesn't support the working woman. We are comprising our values and dying inside. We are looking for purpose and passion in our work, but are having trouble finding it, or even thinking it's possible. Having a dual household income is a necessity in our world, and many women are getting married later in life so they must support themselves. What happens when we give up our values for a paycheck and simply live to get paid and wait for retirement to finally be able to live. I don't believe we need to wait, and I was tired of fighting an uphill battle feeling like an outsider. That is until I found other women who felt the same way I do. I realized I am not alone, and neither are you. The solution is diving deep into ourselves and finding what we value in life, then visualizing the life we want, and then taking the first baby step to make it happen. This is why I created my online group coaching program, Stepping Up: Become Who You Are Meant To Be. I will use the same processes I did to help you discover yourself and begin to live your dream life one baby step at a time. (#3) Taking time to be still

23m · Published 12 Sep 04:00
"It's often in the absence of sound that we hear the most." - Danny Bader In our busy world we rarely take time to just be still, but it's those moments of stillness where we gain the most clarity. Taking time to simply be still whether that's meditation, a quiet walk or simply sitting in silence with no distractions on a daily basis will change your life. Today Nikki is encouraging to take those moments and enjoy them. To be still, be present and to listen.

(#2) Learning to live in abundance

21m · Published 11 Sep 04:00
Living in abundance and truly living an abundant life is very tough, but it is a crucial part of finding your happiness. Being grateful for all that you have in this very moment, even when it doesn't feel like much is difficult. Changing your mindset to say "I'm thankful for..." rather than "I wish I had..." requires work. This is what Nikki is talking about today. She is working through her own money story and learning to live in abundance and gratitude even in times when there's concern about bills being paid.
