This week's headlines are all from The Wall Street Journal.  The first headline, Used Cars, is an article that explores the new and used car inventory across the country.  With record-high prices for trade-ins, used cars, and new cars this article explains what is driving the surge in demand and price.

The second headline, Pipeline Hack, looks into the recent malware hack of the Colonial Pipeline, which is the largest gasoline pipeline on the eastern seaboard.  The hack has temporarily shut down systems that help transport gasoline from the Gulf Coast all the way up the East Coast to New Jersey.

Our final headline, Breakout Cities, looks into the exodus of businesses and workers from larger metropolises to mid-sized cities across the US.  This article explores the various reasons why this is happening like the pandemic, affordability, and congestion.

This week's headlines are all from The Wall Street Journal.  The first headline, Ditching Sweatpants, is an article that explores higher demand for "real pants", those with buttons and a zipper over those with drawstrings.  This is the first time this metric has been used to explore the economic impact of retail sales!

The second headline, NextGen Vaccines, explores two options that are currently in human trials for a more efficient vaccine delivery vehicle.  The two new options are oral delivery via a pill and nasal delivery via spray.  The article explores the possibility of simplifying delivery logistics as well as administering the vaccine to the public.  These new vaccines could be used as boosters or as primary vaccines for COVID-19 or any other virus in the future.

Our final headline, The Emergence of AutoTech, explores the merging of the traditional auto industry and the tech industry.  With the popularity of electronic vehicles, the involvement of tech was inevitable.  This article explores the 3 pillars of the new AutoTech industry: Electric Vehicles, Software, and Autonomous Vehicles.  While there is still a mountain of regulatory, economic, and technical questions left unanswered, the AutoTech industry is here to stay and when the pieces come together it will have a profound impact on our way of life.
