Sustainability In 2030 And Beyond

How can luxury brands embrace sustainable practices and be agents of change while staying profitable?

In today's episode, Neri references the article LuxCo 2030: A Vision of Sustainable Luxury, written by Bain & Company in collaboration with Positive Luxury, and shares three takeaways that stood out to her from the report.

To give you a taste of what these are, sustainability has more to do with surviving as humanity than we could expect. Having said that, becoming a sustainable fashion brand isn't achieved overnight. However, it is possible as we can adapt to new business models and adopt honesty and transparency as a competitive advantage.

Neri has more on this subject to come next week during her interview with Diana Verde Nieto, co-founder of Positive Luxury. Stay tuned and don't miss this incredible episode.

What Sustainability Really Means In Fashion

2m · Published 25 Aug 06:00

According to the Smart Guide to Climate Change the BBC released in March of 2020, ¨the fashion industry accounts for about 10% of global carbon emissions, and nearly 20% of wastewater. And while the environmental impact of flying is now well known, fashion sucks up more energy than both aviation and shipping combined.¨

So, can fashion brands be sustainable?

This week, Neri brings an episode about starting a sustainable fashion business.
She dives deep into the importance of knowing your intentions while making sure you know the true meaning of being sustainable.
If you think sourcing raw materials makes you a sustainable brand, think again! It for sure takes more than that, so listen until the end of this episode and find out.
