17m · PublishedSwitching jobs can be tricky, but switching industries and leaping into a new career is no joke. Throughout this season I’ll share little bits about my journey breaking into my new tech role.
When I started, I spent 2 months in a bootcamp learning the fundamentals required to succeed as a pre-sales system engineer. With a background primarily in Mechanical Engineering, I was surprised to be considered for the job. But remember this, most companies that think you’re the perfect candidate for the role will TEACH YOU what you need to know!

I quit my mechanical engineering job, started a new one in tech, and have been busy ever since. I've been so wrapped up in ramping up in my new role that I never got to share the news with you.
I have a few tips for those who may feel like they're stuck in jobs that don't align with their purpose. It happens to the best of us, but there's hope for you yet.
