James Parr, Melbourne-based model and disability advocate and proud Wiradjuri man, joins us to discuss representation, tokenism, and inclusivity. We also hear all about his experience of the GQ Men of the Year award night - he was the Model of the Year!

Three amazing, unsigned, queer artists join us in the Joy studio to share one of their own tracks and a Christmas favourite. Just Shy performs his new track, He's Everything, and a cover of Chris Rea's 'Driving Home for Christmas'. Umbra Moon performs 'Temporary Healing' followed by a cover of Sia's 'Snowman'. And Maikee (Mark Jozinovic) gives us a sneak preview of his upcoming January 2024 release 'Fall into the Sunrise', closing the show with a gorgeous cover of Wham's 'Last Christmas'.

Aaron, David, Montel and Sheldon from The Engagement join us to talk about the writing of their new single On My Own. It's a very personal song from David, who found it easier to express his coming out journey in music rather than conversation. We talk about the lifelong process of coming out, what support looks like from bandmates, and the idea of 'inviting in' rather than 'coming out'. On My Own drops in 2024.

Connor and Oscar from Mister Co join us in the studio with their collaborator Lia to discuss their new single 'Better Lives'. We talk about making music in community with other musicians, the support provided by The Real Songwriters of Melbourne, and about hitting the right notes.

Jesse Scott, director of Casus Creations, joins us to talk about their latest circus show Apricity. A family-friendly symphony of aerial apparatuses, ground-breaking acrobatics, and graceful movement, Apricity seeks to illuminate the power of human connection in times of darkness.

Christopher Horsey joins us to talk about his long dance career and his love of tap dancing. We chat about the modern percussive dance movement he's been part of - which included his works Hot Shoe Shuffle and Tap Dogs - as well as the work he continues to do today.

We are joined in the studio by sydney knoo, a non binary romantic asexual writer born in SW Sydney to Malaysian Chinese parents. Drawing on their experience growing up in Sydney, as well as their love of fan fiction and Spiderman, sydney has crafted a fantastic YA novel, The Spider and Her Demons.

Adam Noviello joins us in the studio to talk about their latest single, Fumbling,and the fun they've been having in the UK.
