Ancient Dutch tradition means a lot in our great city. Ever since our ancestors came here, lured by the moderate fortune promised by the Coal Rush, we’ve held to the tradition of placing wishing jars on our stoops around C*****mas time. This year, someone stomped on that tradition. Or at least knocked it askew thoughtlessly. After a lengthy personhunt, a culprit has been pinned. Join us here, on the eve of the ruling that may put a child behind bars for 20 years, as we investigate: The Jar Tipper.

This month on These Are The People, we tackle wishing, talking to several T******ians united by one thing: they made a wish on a well, and it came true. Or did it? It did.
