Her first holiday collection launched exclusively on One Kings Lane in 2014 and she has continued to add an impressive collective of retailers to that list including: Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, and Geary’s Beverly Hills in the US and Harrods, John Lewis, and Amara in the UK.

The Vale London was founded in 2017 by Melinda Marquardt. After working in sales for an American textile company for seven years, she decided to start up her own business.

Partnering her education in fine art with her many years of sales experience, Melinda created the Vale London to provide exquisite textiles and wallpapers to the luxury interiors market.

Each pattern starts out as an original piece of art work; illustrated by hand and produced by the finest mills. Each metre of fabric or roll of wallpaper is a piece of art for the home. Texture, colour and design work symbiotically to create each unique piece. Melinda creates timeless designs that will adorn windows and walls for many years.

We must re-write laws that benefit ALL, not just a few. Please know that this is not a check the box situation. THIS is a lifestyle commitment. This is a change in behavior. This is using your privileged platform for POC. I am optimistic. Please don’t let me down. Do the work. Do it as if your life depends upon it...because it does! Now that you know better. DO BETTER.

Texas native, Peter Sandel is principal & founder of Peter Sandel Design, LLC a boutique design firm based in Downtown Manhattan.

Peter’s portfolio is not tied to any one signature style but highlights a range of approaches unified in thoughtful floor plans, unique furnishings and dedication to exceptional craftsmanship.

Although interior design has been a natural and lifelong passion, it wasn't the obvious career choice.After a decade working as a Washington lobbyist;it was a timely transition to New York, coupled with the tragic loss of his Mother to breast cancer that compelled him to seek change.

Sandel subsequently started his career in design working for world-renowned architectPeter Marino. He later worked alongside Dallas' most sought after interior designers while simultaneously starting his own firm.He obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Baylor University and later attended the New York School of Interior Design.
