Blooming Again: The Podcast

by Laura Kay

Just as the life cycle of a flower, we begin as seeds. We are planted and we bloom. Yet still, so much happens in between. After what seems like a lifetime of pain, I’m finally learning to Bloom Again. This podcast aims to serve as inspiration, sharing my story and the stories of others and how we have overcome. You will laugh. You will cry. You will smile. But most importantly, you, too, will Bloom 🌻

Crossover Episode: Daddy Wounds & Healing Part 2

31m · Published 16 Jun 15:34

In this Crossover Episode we have Jess Johnson, the host of the Listen Up with Jess Podcast, talking about her relationship with her father and her progress towards healing!  Oftentimes we wait until after we've already gotten the victory to talk about our stuff but in this episode we get real and raw about the NOW! In part 2, Jess talks about not feeling she was allowed to have daddy wounds because she grew up with her father in the household. But, his emotional absence impacts her deeply. Whether you have daddy wounds, mommy wounds (shoot I have them both), or have just struggled with the people in your life NOT showing up for you in the ways that you would like, this episode is for you!

Jess also talks about the benefits of therapy, journaling, and having a support system and how these things have been foundational in her journey! Follow Jess on IG@listenupwithjess and be sure to listen to Part 1 on her podcast to hear me share my story and learn how the death of one dad changed my perspective.
