Crossover Episode: Daddy Wounds & Healing Part 2

In this Crossover Episode we have Jess Johnson, the host of the Listen Up with Jess Podcast, talking about her relationship with her father and her progress towards healing!  Oftentimes we wait until after we've already gotten the victory to talk about our stuff but in this episode we get real and raw about the NOW! In part 2, Jess talks about not feeling she was allowed to have daddy wounds because she grew up with her father in the household. But, his emotional absence impacts her deeply. Whether you have daddy wounds, mommy wounds (shoot I have them both), or have just struggled with the people in your life NOT showing up for you in the ways that you would like, this episode is for you!

Jess also talks about the benefits of therapy, journaling, and having a support system and how these things have been foundational in her journey! Follow Jess on IG@listenupwithjess and be sure to listen to Part 1 on her podcast to hear me share my story and learn how the death of one dad changed my perspective.

Overcoming Impostor Syndrome with Amisha

In this episode Amisha and I discuss Impostor Syndrome! Impostor syndrome is loosely defined as doubting your abilities and feeling like an impostor, despite all evidence that proves otherwise. It often entails questioning everything that you know to be true. Anyone can experience imposter syndrome (although mostly associated with women) and in this episode we talk about the power of positive thoughts, changing your perspective and boosting confidence! You are your secret sauce! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You are good enough. You are smart enough. and You ARE qualified!

May this episode inspire you and remind you that you are fearfully and wonderfully made <3

Life Transitions with Courtney Shalom

In Honor of women’s History Month I will be interviewing some of the amazing women in my life! First up is my best friend Courtney! In this interview, Courtney and I talk about Life Transitions!

Life transitions are things we have all gone through (or will go through) at some point in our lives. She shares her experience moving to Seattle in the middle of a panorama (lol) and both the successes and challenges that came along with it!

Courtney is a woman of faith so she was able to put her trust in God and not let doubt / feelings of the unknown stand in her way. She is also blessed to be married to the amazing Terrel Renrick who has been by her side throughout this entire journey! I hope this interview inspires you and reminds you that you can do anything!
