Back to Audience

5m · Published 26 Nov 21:02
"Back To Audience" Growing up, I was part of a Drama Group and I remember one of the things I was taught was when performing, You do not turn your back to the audience. This is because, the audience is one of the two essential features of a live theatrical performance, along with the performer. Actors will talk about "feeding off of" an audience's energy, as they laugh more, cry more, jump in their seat or respond vocally in a large, involved audience. In a live Orchestra Performance, the Conductor has his back to the audience. That in a way defiles the rules of live performance. But in order for the conductor to put up a great performance, he/she will have to turn their back to the audience to focus on the Orchestra as they face the audience to perform. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/david-gyawu/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/david-gyawu/support

Success

10m · Published 13 Aug 17:08
SUCCESS Success is Predictable so you can easily plan for Success. To be successful, you have to make a decision. Success is predictable because life is designed for your success. Failure is also predictable because it is the same result as success. God designed everything He created to be successful. You will never see a fish which cannot swim naturally or a bird that cannot fly naturally as well. Every seed, when placed in the soil, with the right amount of moisture and temperature is designed to bring forth a plant or tree. You don't have to pray. Everything God designed, He built into it it's own success. That is why you are very important to God. The average human being does not know why they are here on earth. They wake up every morning, go to a job they hate, working with people they don't like, getting paid less than they are worth and dying too young from stress and frustration. This is all as a result of not knowing Why they exist. Without a Purpose, life has no meaning, and has no sense of destiny and positioning. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/david-gyawu/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/david-gyawu/support

Thought Patterns

5m · Published 26 Mar 07:48
Thought Patterns It is said, The average person has 50,000 to 70,000 thoughts per day, which equates to 35 to 48 thoughts per minute. Approximately 95 percent of our thoughts today are the same thoughts you had yesterday. To make matters worse, about 80 percent of those habitual thoughts are negative ones. Tens of thousands of negative thoughts cycle through your mind day after day, poisoning your attitude and your outlook, one by one. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/david-gyawu/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/david-gyawu/support

Life is a Journey

7m · Published 21 Feb 03:24

Life is a Journey.

Every journey has three stages, namely Departure, Duration, and Destination.

To embark on a journey, you have to begin from somewhere to get to someplace.

Before anyone sets off on a journey, they have a destination in mind. No one purchases an airplane, bus, or a train ticket without knowing their destination.

“Life will not give you what you want,

Life will give you what you place a demand on”.

Many people have placed their lives in default or on autopilot and just wishing one day, things will turn out to the better.

How to Change Yourlife in Positive Ways.

4m · Published 19 Feb 08:11

Episode 004

How To Change Yourself in Positive Ways by Tory Johnson (September 01, 2015 online publication) and here are 5 steps.

Step 1: How fed up are you, really? In other words, are you finally sick of the way things are now? When you’re at the point where the pain of the present outweighs the pain and sacrifice that change demands, you’re ready to shift.

Step 2: What are you willing to give up? Big change requires big sacrifice. There’s no way around it. If you want to shift for good, nothing can be more important than tackling your goal. You must be willing to give up things that are near and dear to you, including certain behaviors, to succeed. You must be ready to commit fully—be willing to accept the shift as an all-or-nothing deal, as hard as it sounds. The process is hard but becomes easier to live with over time.

Step 3: What’s your plan? There’s no winging it if you’re serious about making a significant life change. You need to establish clear, concise rules in order to eliminate ambiguity. Make a simple plan for how you’re going to take on your issue.

Step 4: What’s your daily accountability? It’s easy to slip up when nobody’s looking. It’s also possible to fool yourself into thinking that you’re on track when you’re not. Take a moment to review each day to see which emotions and attitudes reigned: calm or panic, happiness or anger, joy or joyless. If you consistently practice the action steps you outlined in your plan, you’ll see and feel results. Progress begets progress, which makes daily accountability important. Step

5: How will you develop patience and celebrate your victories? It’s hard to go from panic to perfect overnight, no matter how much we want it to work that way. A journey toward wholeness takes time. To stay motivated, celebrate teeny victories with rewards that won’t derail your success.

Viewing Leadership in the Lens of a Commercial Pilot

4m · Published 13 Feb 09:00

Episode 003

Captains or pilot in command of commercial airplanes have a routine safety checklist they go through before every flight regardless of how many times they have flown that particular aircraft or machine.

After the aircraft technicians have performed, completed and signed off on their safety check list, the captain or the pilot in command of the flight also performs a safety inspection of the exterior of the aircraft and the instruments they depend on.

Not that the captain does not trust the aircraft technician's safety checklist but because he/she is the ones responsible for the flight and the souls on board, they have to ensure they perform their safety inspection as well.

After performing the safety inspection, from the startup of the engines, to push back from the gate, to taxing for take-off has to be authorized by the air traffic controller.

The air traffic controller sits in a tower somewhere in the airport who the pilot does not see or know but only hears their voice over a two-way radio communication system.

Commercial pilots will not take-off from an airport without being cleared by an air traffic controller.

Why are my reflecting on a commercial pilot?

I'm glad you asked.

I see Leadership most especially Christian leadership as playing the role of a commercial pilot.

We are carrying the lives of people to a destination of Hope and Faith.

There are people in our families, and ministries that look up to us for direction and one careless mistake can cause the life of many individuals.

As a leader, you have to depend on the voice of God for daily divine direction.

The difference between us as Leaders and the Commercial Pilot is that we know God but sometimes we cannot identify His voice to obey His instructions and commands due to distractions and our noisy environment.

The pilot does not know the controller but they can identify their voice and obey their instructions and commands.

As leaders, we have to begin our day with our safety checks of Prayer, Studying the Word of God and Meditating on His word.

We also have to come to a place in our lives where we will take inventory of our lives every day and develop the mindset of hearing from God when we wake up, to the start of our day, to going about our daily activities till we come to the end of our day.

God has us on His radar just as the air traffic controller sees every airplane in their airspace on their radar by squawking a transponder code.

Regardless of how and when we wake up, let us make our open dialogue with God a priority.

Don't allow yourself to be distracted by your phone, tablet, social media or TV if God is number one in your life.

Don't leave your house without speaking to God Who sees further than we do and knows than we know.
