Don't Drink and Podcast

Today we acknowledge that we are part “drink and chat” podcast and part “ASMR” podcast, enjoy those gulps and clinks people! We also catch up on Lucia’s dating life, it didn’t go well, why are all lawyers mindnumbingly dull?! We briefly touch on the difference between getting off and starting off on the wrong foot….and why do all men lie about their height?! Lucia is staying positive though, is the next date the love of her life? Stay tuned. Johanna nearly committed arson recently, her scented candle lit on fire, but do not fret! She handled it like a fire queen and Lucia did nothing to try and help. Quite literally trying to live hot girl summer I guess! We wrap up by adding a new segment, officially called: Quick Fire Round! Cheers!

DDAP goes real life! Pubs are open and we have been social. SO social that we had to take a break from the podcast last week, sorry guys… We’ve met colleagues, Lucia has been on dates and we have even squeezed in a few workouts at the gym, what a luxury. It’s safe to say that we are exhausted after our newly found freedom..and also after figuring out how to greet people, does one wave, air-kiss, hug or hand shake in a post-Covid world?! Also, listen out for some major wine ASMR. Skål!

London is in full holiday mode coming out of lockdown. We went for a slightly too long pub lunch on the 12th, but enjoyed every single sip of our Aperol Spritz. We believe in the catch and release of men, and revisit our various holiday flirtations while in Greece together. Lucia is now a yes woman, which is very exciting - buuut unfortunately her hinge curse is back. So that brings us to our important question of, does anyone know anyone who can break her curse? Could a rose water bath be a cure? We finish the episode off with a challenge for this week's pub visits...stay tuned for next episode to see how we get on! Cheers!

Welcome to Double Digits! Episode 10 Baby! Today marks the day when we are alos all set up in the new flat. We discuss our bank holiday weekend with amazing walks every day, way to go us with all those steps...And, we went to our very first Barbecue of the year and tried our best at socialising. It's been a while! It may have gone better for some rather than others, Lucia has no chat-up lines left unfortunately. We touch on the health benefits of wine. And hinge-ing is back people, Lucia may have a walking date planed for this week, we also start our countdown to pubs opening next week - can't wait!! Cheers!

Today we have been literally basking in the sun, and we had our first Pimm’s of the season (British sangria?). Besides the sun coming out, we are incredibly excited about being close to a huge supermarket. We discuss “big” relationships and how weird it is when they end. Also, we cover the dangers of following ex’s on social media, are they happier now? Are they moving on? Ours have! But nonetheless, we are manifesting happiness and sexy men for our future.

Welcome to Episode 8 people! Today we get a chance to appreciate free wine, and Johanna shares the ins and outs of appreciation at work. Lucia really loves her merch and we both go through a lot of ridiculous Swenglish (the beautiful combination of Swedish and English). We go full Karen on our couch delivery team. We talk about men who act like angels when they want to get naked with you and we also struggle with pronouncing allegedly... Situationships have become a "thing" in the past few years, and we elaborate on our various experiences with them. Basically what we have concluded is that men are professional fishermen and we are a sea of stupid ass fish! 

In today's episode we drink a very lovely white wine, and if you are in a pinch: Instagram may save the day when proving your age. We promise we are actually moving, and we're realising it's not an easy job - the couch people are making our lives very difficult! We go picnicking, backpack and all. It turns into a bambi-on-ice situation, and we wonder: If you say the word murder in a forest, does a murderer randomly appear? Either way, we had a close call with death. Finally, we chat dating apps and our "meh" experiences of it all - Lucia recounts a guy that starts out not-so-sexy, moves to kind-of-sexy, only to lose it all in the end...Is it always like this? 

You asked, we listened! In today's episode, "Don't Drink and Podcast" has a little bit more "Drink" than normal...We discuss the struggles of paying bills, proving your identity and getting phone numbers. We don't even KNOW how many attractive men are in our new hoods, but it seems promising, and we are excited! Lucia drinks five tequila shots, and Johanna can't take any shots. We talk zoom discos and virtual pub quizzes. How many times can Lucia say "All That Jazz"?? and she also throws out a fun fact about aubergines... Enjoy!

In today’s episode Lucia shows off her French, we talk responsible drinking...but encourage mimosas and a pale rosé this spring! Johanna did not murder anyone but did unintentionally do a classic faux-pas. We talk about the pressure of choosing your emergency contacts, and we relive our irresponsible past that includes two words: Vodka + Car. Also, lockdown coming to an end?! We’re busy getting beer gardens booked…

...And We Danced! In today's episode we are still hungover and recovering from a big Galentine's weekend with plenty of Beer Pong. We listen to the layout of Lucia's bedroom, and its' lack of Feng Shui. Johanna describes her talent for napping (it's all about structure), and she is reminded of her love of Basshunter. We ask when Loreen won Eurovision (was it 2012?). We see right through over-priced sofas and start planning for our upcoming task of flat-pack furniture building, Lucia will be focusing on giving moral support and drinking wine.
