Episode 5: Reduce Inflammation with Ayurveda Emily Griffin

21m · Published 10 Mar 05:15

I had the pleasure of speaking with Emily Griffin, Ayurvedic Practitioner, and Yoga instructor. Emily works 1x1 with clients to remedy common imbalances (like GI & skin issues, hormonal imbalances, feeling crummy) by using diet, lifestyle, and herbal remedies. Ayurveda is an individualized, ancient approach to health and wellness - it's not a diet or exercise plan - it's a way of life specifically designed for your symptoms, your goals, and your busy life.

Emily was young when a major digestive disorder disrupted her busy life. She had the good fortune of being single and childless when she suffered her bouts of exhaustion. She was in college, not in the middle of a high-powered career when her skin started breaking out. No one was depending on her to take care of them, so she got to take care of herself, and it changed her life. Now she helps other people, especially women, get back to feeling like themselves again.

Listen in to this episode to hear more about your Dosha (what body type you are), tips to reduce inflammation, and Ayurveda.

Episode 4: Get to the Root Cause of your Stealth Infections with Lauren Baca

49m · Published 10 Mar 05:10

In today's episode, I interview the amazing Lauren Baca. Lauren is my herbalist and I've seen more progress working with her in the past 7 months than I have in years. Lauren's passion for root-cause wellness stemmed from growing up in a family riddled with degenerative diseases. Although she saw the benefits western medicine could offer by keeping her family alive, she noticed that their quality of life was greatly diminished. She made the connection that what we eat is intimately connected to our sense of vitality. Diseases that are labeled as "genetic" in allopathic medicine have the power to be either perpetuated or hindered by our lifestyle choices. This idea that our lifestyle could rewire our "pre-dispositions" is what pushed Lauren beyond the scope of nutritional biology and into the realm of holistic mind-body health.

Fast forward and Lauren's never-ceasing love for education has lent her to gain experience in a number of different areas including but not limited to nutrition, biochemistry, epidemiology, and west-to-east herbalism. Currently, she works with a wide range of clients helping them find their way back to wellness through the modalities offered at Root Cause Clinic, LLC.

After becoming diagnosed with Lyme Disease herself, she found a passion for helping those suffering from complex stealth infections including mold illness, Lyme, and co-infections. Although she holds space for these clients, her undying love for teaching others how to care for themselves is inclusive to all.
Lauren employs a trifecta of tools to guide her clients through bio-individual protocols that remind the body how to heal and restore innate body wisdom.

Listen to this episode to hear about the Root Cause Clinic, how Lauren works with her clients to get to the root cause and Lyme disease.

Episode 3: Self Love and Setting Boundaries Natasha Richardson

50m · Published 10 Mar 05:05

I had the honor and privilege to spend a morning talking to the incredible Natasha Richardson. Referred to as “sunshine in the human form”, Natasha Richardsons’ approach to life (and a one well lived) is a force of ignited optimism not to be reckoned with. Transcending her own self-perpetuating limits of potentiality, Natasha believes there isn’t much we can’t do when we start to discover who we truly are.

Her self actualised journey of realisation married with a super-charged career in advertising and creative communications enables Natasha to think, interact, coach and create with a strategic mindset rooted in altruistic transformation. Her style transcends age, gender and socio-economic backgrounds, finding its way into the brain chemistry of each and every human and business looking to shift from ‘ego’ to ‘hero’.

Listen in to hear us dive into topics about how she works with clients, self-love, and what makes her style unique at helping people realize the path they are supposed to be on.
