Title: Your Worthiness is Not the Same as Your Productivity

18m · Published 07 Jan 06:00

In this episode, Steve discusses how Capitalism conditions us to believe that our worthiness as a human depends on our ability to produce. This is so deeply a part of our culture (esp. in capitalist based societies) that our very survival depends on it. It’s completely systemic. Nevertheless, it’s untrue. Steve shares how to extrapolate this in our hearts, and maintain a “more love, not less - all-ways” perspective while also being in a system that doesn’t operate this way.

Steve shares some of his experiences with discomfort and then demonstrates how he gets into healthy relationship with what's showing up for him. It's work that's challenging but profoundly healing.

Seeing Boundaries Through the Lens of Love

15m · Published 09 Sep 05:00

A Healthier Way to Look at Shame

29m · Published 20 Apr 13:00

In this episode, Steve walks through what he perceives as a common misconception around healthy shame vs. toxic shame, and that shame is an emotion. Steve is increasingly convinced that shame is not an emotion at all, but instead a coping strategy, and only one of two coping strategies... and the other one is not "healthy" shame. It's something entirely different.

In this episode, Steve breaks it all down as he currently understands it, and invites you to explore the two strategies available when the catalyst of our Moral Intelligence is sparked.
