Often times, in today's society, "winning" an argument is defined as exposing the counterargument to be wrong and commonly results in severing the relationship. After sitting down with Dr. Jill TeDemple, professor of religious studies at SMU, we learned that actually "winning" an argument means seeking to understand, hearing both sides of the argument and being curious about people's beliefs. Truly winning promotes unity between all people no matter their opposing beliefs.   

We had the opportunity to sit down with Dr. Dave Arnott and discuss his book, The Leadership Quotient: 12 Dimensions for Measuring and Improving Leadership. Dave is a professor of management and economics at Dallas Baptist University and has a passion for helping his students become better leaders. In this interview, Dr. Arnott breaks down his book and simplifies leadership into two aspects: tasks and people. We challenge you to identify which area is your strength, and develop which one isn't in order to maximize your leadership potential.
