The Proper Attitude Towards Extreme Food Challenges Like Epic Meal Time - Stop Tuning Out

10m · Published 12 Sep 15:28

You probably have seen an extreme food challenge.

Or perhaps you glanced at your kid's screen and noticed people wolfing down insane amounts of food very quickly.

Let's name this phenomenon for what it is - binge eating without guilt.

It's likely that this type of behavior is giving an inappropriate message. Simply put, watching other people stuff themselves is not good for your health.

So should we ban these videos? Should we write to the creators of these videos and tell them to stop?

Here's my perspective on what is appropriate action for you to take:

Stop tuning out, start tuning in.

1. Take a stand for personal food preferences by giving everyone food freedom!!!

2. By letting go of judgment towards others, you give yourself the chance to be free of judgment towards yourself.

3. There will always be arguments about the right way to eat food, are you going to get involved in everyone of these arguments?

4. It's hard enough to respect your own body and taste preferences, focus on yourself first and be your own light.

4 Steps To Understand How To Stop Thinking About Food All The Time

17m · Published 12 Sep 15:09

Do cravings feel impossibly irresistible to you? You can't stop thinking about food all the time?

Perhaps you're ready to try some radical approach to food. Perhaps you're really ready to embrace unconditional eating.

4 Points of Unconditional Eating

1. Dieting is dangerous - and can cause food obsession thoughts and binge eating

2. Food freedom is important - many people that are normal with food have this food freedom and you can have it too.

3. How to do food freedom correctly - don't try food freedom unless you're eating enough nutrient dense foods and have actively prioritized meeting your emotional needs.

4. Common fears of unconditional eating are mostly nothing to worry about - you won't eat too much and your taste preferences will change.

This is an easily misunderstood topic so feel free to explore another video on this topic about getting rid of cravings which you can watch here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Creut...

5 Reasons Why Do I Always Want To Eat Every Hour Of Everyday This Isn't Normal! San Jose

14m · Published 08 Sep 08:59

Why do I always want to eat?

Here are 5 reasons why:

1. Cultural Conditioning - for millions of years food was scarce. Now food is always in your face.

2. You Eat To Avoid Stress - you're in a bad habit of eating when even just slightly stressed.

3. You're Not Eating Enough To Get Full - fullness is either foreign to you OR you are afraid of feeling full because you fearfully associate fullness with binge eating bloatedness.

4. Lack of Protein / Fat Or Too Many Carbs - carbs are easy, convenient and temporarily fill you up.

5. You're Stuck In A Story Of Deprivation - You haven't healed an inner wound just yet

If you aren't sure what fullness is or how to tell when you are full, I made an additional video training you can watch here on Youtube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpmBI...

Top 10 Foods That Keep You Full The Longest According To Scientific Satiety Index

9m · Published 07 Sep 09:41

You can have your cake and eat it too.

Well, maybe not cake. But here's a list of foods that will keep you full so you eat less calories overall.

These measurements are from a ‘satiety index’ or a scientific list of foods that keep you full.

In general these scores are derived from 4 different criteria:

Lots of fiber
Lots of protein
Lots of volume
Low in energy density

To read this list please realize the base measurement is white bread which only scored 100.

Boiled potatoes 323
Fish 225
Oatmeal 209
Oranges 203
Apples 197
Whole Wheat pasta 188
Beef 176
Baked Beans 168
Grapes 162
Whole Wheat Bread 157

The highest scoring food was boiled potatoes.

Way different than salty fries!!!!

Specifically boiled potatoes scored 3.23 on a Fullness Index.

White bread only scored 1.

What does this mean?

Basically boiled potatoes keep you 3x as full. So if you get full ... You don't need to eat so many slices of white bread.

Knowing what foods are filling can also help you significantly decrease food cravings and binge eating!

3 Step Quick Snack Formula For 'What To Make For A Snack' Dilemma When You Have No Time - San Jose

9m · Published 07 Sep 09:08

Have you ever come home from work absolutely starving, ate dinner, got full, and then proceeded to keep eating until you fell asleep?

Or, do you have a vague fear that your kitchen is a place where you lose control in the evening or late at night?

often times we feel that evening and late night is where we're most vulnerable. And this video I take a look at the late afternoon snack.

Getting late afternoon snack is important for the following reason - missing the afternoon snack makes you vulnerable to overeat at night.

On the other hand, if you eat this snack, you'll be much less likely to give into temptations.

oftentimes people know about the benefits of the late afternoon snack, but they either ...

À) don't have enough time
B) don't know what to make

So in this video I wanted to show you a quick snack template which will give you a couple ideas on what snacks to make in a short amount of time.

1. Combine Black Beans with Whole Wheat Bread or Brown Rice

2. Then Add A 'Good' Fat On Top Like Avocado, Meat, Or Egg

That's it!
