All around the United States parents of soon-to-be 4-year-olds and rising 5-year-olds are preparing for school! Yes, it is the time of year when school registration occurs. For first-time parents of soon-to-be school-aged children, this process can be a little stressful!  But do not fret, Real Moms Too has you covered!

Alana and Xia interview Porsche Chisley, Director of School Improvement for over 50 schools in Ohio, to find out what parents need to know to be prepared for Pre-K and Kindergarten registration. Porsche is also a Real Mom of two, and an education and parenting blogger. As a former teacher and leader, Porsche has supported education equity for almost 10 years. Listen in to learn about tips and resources for choosing a school, choosing a teacher, and how to navigate the school registration process.

Valentine's Day is all about L-O-V-E!  Typically when people think about Valentine's Day they think of showing love or being loved by someone else. In this episode, Real Moms Too remind moms the importance of loving yourself! The ladies share some fun things to do with your significant other, tips on how to plan for date night, and they talk about Galetine's Day.  They also include an oldie, but goodie segment, "I Can't Make This Up." This episode is all about encouraging moms to use Valentine's Day as an opportunity to do something for themselves.

In this episode, Alana and Xia have two special guests, their husbands, Chimdi and Realous. The dads talk about how life changed after kids, how they bond with their children, and challenges they face as fathers. Alana shares her birthing story - focusing on her third and last delivery of her daughter Azora!  She discusses what worked for her, what she learned from each delivery experience, and talks about what it is like to birth all three children naturally.  Alana encourages mothers to be their biggest advocate and to make sure they have a strong support person or persons during the delivery process.

In this episode, Alana and Xia recap their Thanksgiving holiday and some surprising events that took place. Now that Alana is a stay at home she talks about how Christmas will be different for her family this year. Although this time of year can be fun and exciting, often times it brings a lot of stress. Episode 7 of Real Moms Too is all about Thanksgiving!  From traveling with kids to unsolicited advice from your opinionated family, Alana and Xia tell it ALL! They talk about what to pack and some key tips on keeping your kids busy during long road trips and flights.  They also talk about FOOD!  What's Thanksgiving without the food?  Xia gives Alana advice on how to meal prep for a big meal and Alana jokes about the UNwanted dishes some of her family cooks.  Lastly, they discuss some fun family traditions and give their listeners some great advice for self care.  Happy Thanksgiving!

Most people have heard of the infamous term, the Helicopter Parent, but did you know there was a whole list of parenting styles including a new term, the Lawnmower Parent?  Don't get us wrong, everyone parents differently!  What works for you may not work for others; whether you fall into a category or not, some parenting styles just do not fit you.  Or maybe they do and you just weren't aware. In this episode, Alana and Xia discuss and describe the different parenting styles and which one(s) they believe they identify as.  They also discuss Thanksgiving and talk about some Mommy Wins they had this week.

In Episode 4, Alana and Xia introduce a new topic, "I can't make this up", discuss some more Fall Fun Faves, and they talk about SEX!

Often times parents are afraid to have the sex talk with their children.  So much so they push it off as long as possible, sometimes waiting until the child is in their teens!  Alana discusses how she and her husband approach sex, consent, and boundaries to their children, ages five and under.  

Sex isn't always an easy topic, but we must remember, No Shame. No Blame. We have a responsibility to educate our children!

After several years of being a Stay A Home Wife and Mom, Xia has decided to go back to work. With that means, daycare for Elia! In this episode, Alana and Xia discuss the stigmas that come with choosing family versus career, choosing a daycare, and some of their Fall Fun Faves.
