About our Guest
This is my 18th year of teaching at the Midd-West School District in Middleburg, Pennsylvania. For the first 12 years, I was the yearbook advisor, taught Precalculus, Trigonometry, as well as Algebra I & II, and served as math department chair. I currently teach 6th-grade math and continue to represent the math department at the curriculum council. I learned about GMM in 2018 and quickly realized this is what my team needed to pull us out of a standardized testing slump. We went from 15/16 in our region to #1 for growth on the Math PSSA! GMM made that possible for us. I am married with a son and two stepdaughters. We love to go on vacation, make S'mores around the campfire, and watch Disney movies. My hobbies include making scrapbooks and working out.

I currently teach 8th Grade math at Tyrone Area Middle School in Tyrone, Pennsylvania.  This is my 14th year of teaching.  Throughout my career, I have taught anywhere from pre-algebra up through dual-enrollment Calculus.  I am married and have 3 stepsons.  We enjoy doing anything outside, including spending time on our boat on the lake.  We also love camping, hiking, and kayaking – especially with our dog Bear and our newest puppy Grizzly.

Lari is a Pennsylvania math teacher and girls varsity soccer coach. She began using GetMoreMath in 2015.  In the beginning, she primarily used it to create worksheets, but slowly transitioned to using it 2 days a week in her Math Lab, mainly for retention of previously learned concepts. That progressed to using for homework purposes along with worksheets and note sheets. Now, she uses GMM as the Daily Warm-Up (Mixed Review), Assignment for new skills, and mixed review for homework. No more paper worksheets or tests.

I graduated from Saint Francis University with a mathematics degree and concentration in actuarial science. I went back to school and got my teaching certification. I am currently a teacher of 9-12 graders. I currently teach Algebra 1, Algebra 2,  Statistics, and Pre-Calculus. I have been teaching at Tyrone High School for ten years. For the last 4 years, I have been an avid user of Get More Math in my classroom. It has truly changed my life as a teacher. Bringing his energy and drive to the classroom, over time Cody saw his students not only improve their math skills but become excited about solving the problems and wanting to learn more. With the onset of COVID-19 protocols last spring his students were unable to take their standardized state tests, and if you can believe it, they were disappointed that they did not get to showcase their newfound love of math.
